    Gtx2863r

What power can normally be achieved with the GTX2863R on our engine. I like the idea of the quicker spool with this smaller turbo.

Should do almost 400, but haven't seen many dyno figures.

The gtx2867 is pretty responsive for its potential, i've got one that's going to be mapped soon and i'm hoping for a responsive 400bhp.

The GTX 2863 flows 400 BHP easy.

GTX 2867 flows enough for 400 Wheel HP.

Dont forget that all these new GTX turbos from garrett needs high boost to really show its potential!

Well. It's sounding better by the minute. I've no intention of ever going over 400.

More boost = more potential problems.
On a road going car, it shouldent be a problem pushing the turbo at max flow rate.

Thanks for the input. Going to be getting the gtx2863r and see where I end up. From my endless webbing it seems they can get anywhere between 350 to 400. Seems quite a wide range. The people who get the lower end up are running late teens boost. The higher are up in the early 20s psi.

20 PSI is way to low for this turbo :-p
Put it in the dyno and se how it shines when you up the boost to 25-30 PSI.
25-30 PSI is no problem for this turbo on a street engine(ofc you gotta have the supporting mods)

Like i wrote earlier. The GTX lineup need some descent boost to really shine above the old GTR lineup.

    Well, here it is.

It has hks step 2 cams too.

Still getting used to it really. It's a noticeable shift in lag/spool from the old disco potatoe. But, that may be the cams.

Surprised how late that seems to spool, seems to hold onto power though.
    Got a graph with boost?
    272/272 cams?
I'm guessing that's why it's lazy, what was Jez's feedback?

Does seem to spool slow, is it on a .86 housing?

One problem with higher boost levels are boost leaks... When raising the boost over 1.5bar (~22psi) there always seems to be a leak somewhere...

    It's a 0.64 housing. It's running 22 psi.
It holds well to the red line. So much fun, and the noise is awesome. Awesome. Would just like it to have some more beans in the mid 3000s.
Will see if Jez has recommendations Monday.

Decent boost there! and good power really. I need to get more out of mine as i'm only running 18psi boost atm.

    So it's. 264 12 in. 272 11.5 ex

Wondering if a 264 on the exhaust side would help.
