What are peoples set up for minimal rubbing?
On my last silvia the front always rubbed on lock, which was frustrating, tempted to go 17s this time.

I run 18's on my s13 and with 225/40 tyres it never rubbed swapped to 235/40 and they rubbed like mad so had to raise it up a little
Humm jacked up cars on big wheels
Personally I think 18's are a bit too big for the R/P/S13 chassis but everyone has their own tastes.
I run 215/45's 17x9 et18 on the front of my PS13, and it doesn't rub and I'm reasonably low.
Not got many pics accessible and the regas are a funny colour to photograph but here's one;

The diameter of the wheel shouldn't affect rubbing as the rolling radius of the wheel plus tyre should be the same (within a few mm) no matter what diameter wheel you run. If the wheel diameter increases then you run lower profile tyres to keep the rolling radius within tolerance. What will affect rubbing are wheel offset, wheel/tyre width, camber and ride height.
Running 18's Silvia wheel specs front 18x9 et +39 on a 15mm wheel spacer
Rear 18x10et +39 with 255/35/18 all round and minimal rubbing now
