Size of Wheels needed for Rocket Bunny Kit?

    Hiya,

Got a full rocket bunny kit that I will be fitting to my new shell eventually but need to know how wide my wheels need to be so that I can look at ordering some

The arches on the shell i've got have already been cut to allow me to fit the rocket bunny arches and wider wheels

I think the arches add about 50/60mm to the rear but I'm not sure as I can't find any info about the sizes?

So anyone fitted them before and got some good wheel suggestions?

    Thanks

    J

I'll put that in the comments box when ordering the wheels and they'll know what ones to make then

I guess the more important question would be "What offset"...

You could go on a website, like Will they fit, and see what standard setup is, add the 50/60mm into the setup and see what offset is required. Wheels wise, I would personally go for 17" and then a suitable width to suit. Take into account Tyre availability too

Hi Mate. In a similar situation. I have rota GTR'S which are 9.5J at the back and 8.5J at the front. Not fitted yet. Bought them a couple years back. I am planning to get the Rocket bunny kit in the future too and am in the same situation of not knowing how wide I actually need to go.

You can speak to driftworks as they were a help. They told me the kit was 100mm wider on each side. I then spoke to a supplier of the kit and they confirmed via email the kit is 100mm on each side and therefore 200mm wider in total.

Driftworks said You really want wheels that are ET0.

Like Sidewaysfun just said. I found that looking on will these fit last night was a good help.

I think if you work out what a standard arch can take offset wise then you can add the extra width and you'll know what spec to fit.

You're most likely going to need 18's, and wide ones. The rocket bunny arches are so large it is a lot to fill.

Best bet is to google rocketbunny s13 and look at the wheel specs from there.

My car is 100mm per side wider than stock and I'm using a 18 x 12" -5 with 265/35/18 tyre.

For the 2015 season we ran 18x9.5" Et12 50mm spacers up front with version 1 arches and out back we had 18x10" Et12 but we run a Z32 rear subframe so its much wider than a 14 or 13 rear subframe. The car to be honest didn't drive very well like this, so for 2016 we extended the lower arms and moved the damper mount out on the front to make it much wider up front and give a better scrub radius. Pictured is the 2015 setup

Have you mounted the arches yet? Depending on where you fit them can make them wider or narrower also

Got the v1 kit. I do prefer the v2 kit though. Just a few extra ££

I ended up getting some wheels from a company called "extreme offset wheels" he usually custom makes them to the sizes you need but he had a set in stock of 17" 4x114.3 9j front and 10j rear so i thought i would give them a go

The fronts have an offset of -10 and the rears are -20. Had a quick test fit yesterday and it looks like theyre going to sit on perfect without any spacers!
