That's what I'd do too if I'm honest, carbon skin is great for weight saving but poor if used on the road as a normal car I'd imagine.
1998 Nissan 200sx s14a , 2000 std 5 speed with nismo supercoppermix clutch bn6 Sapphire Blue
that kit does look very nice bud
I got fed up with waiting for someone to let me have there bumper, people can be so unreliable!
I'm going Gun Metallic (M) - KAD same colour as the R35 GTR. As the cars already grey I think it will suit really well.
Tubs are still in progress as I had to work last weekend so Liam couldn't come round.
Cheers. I'm not 100% sure but the seller said he reckons it's the only genuine kit in the country.
AH-HA! so you came up bought a car and used it to transport this south?
Epic effort! :-)
I remember you showing me your mrs's Juke now.
Memory like a fish!
I know you have Chris, I mean Dave, Phil, Mike........!
Not long got my srb roof. Good fit. I have cut tho whole roof out though. I went for the fiberglass version as most carbon things are just carbon skinned fiberglass.
Do you have a sunroof model?
Why did you cut off the whole roof section & not just lay it over the top, is there a benefit?
You got any pics of the process?
Didn't have a sunroof. No. Was easier to weld in the cage and cut out the weight. No pics as of yet but still doing it.
If you want to just bond it to the roof then you will have to cut the new panel up as it's designed to replace the lips on front and rear windows.
Finally got some more time to spend on the car.
I'd already painted the subframe so I ftted the new polybushes & then fitted it to the car.
I then fitted all my Hardrace bushed arms.
I had put all the nuts & bolts in a vinegar bath about 2 weeks but I've decided I'm going to buy all new M10 bolts, washers & nylocs just because.
