Coilovers or bushes - or both

    Hi All,

I know its probably been covered 1001 times I have searched but not found someone else with a wandering rear end!

When going 70+ mph (private road ofc) and I hit a dip in the road the rear bounces like fu*k and feels extremely light. Its twitchy end makes my end twitchy! Means im sitting at 60 which is good for MPGs and wallet but bad for time keeping and fun!

I have standard shocks and tein springs in (came imported) and was wondering whether I need to shell out on coilies yet (its in the pipeline, but the house deposit comes first) or will some pineapples/sub frame poly bushes fix the problem a bit?

Or is it just knackered shocks? Have not inspected.

    Cheers guys

Your shocks sound like they are knackered, upgrade to collies, driftworks do em for 0%! I have BC ones on mine, bloody brilliant once set up correctly. I wouldn't go too crazy with all the bushes on the back as it makes it too stiff.

Could be either. Another thing to check are the lower balljoints.

Mine's solid mounted and feels great, but if it's bouncing chances are your shocks have had it, bushes usually make them wander around and you need lots of small steering inputs to keep it tracking straight, not bounce along

As above, it sounds like your shocks have had it.

I have solid subframe bushes and they improved the feel of the back end so much!
