    Damson s14a rebuild

New to posting on here buy been lurking a while
A few of you will probably recognise the car as "mattygee" 's old car I have been bring back to life
Sorry if bits get confusing I'm copy and pasting from another website
So long time no update, don't lots I need to try update but major update is I swapped my mr2 for a nissan s14a

Stage one and had just been dynoed at 290bhp after being mapped, 3 month old hsd coilovers brand new japspeed exhaust system, lots off goodies.
    Unfortunately though

A tree jumped out on it
So it's been sat at home the last couple of months then I spotted a gem on facebook and two days later (today) I found myself owning the perfect shell

Shell underside has been undersealed and is rust free
Fully polly bushed subframe and back end
    R33 skyline rear brakes

And been on a few track days

so had 2 day off work now so been cracking on with the s14
first job was to sort out the interior, everything was just thrown in the shell.

every thing out and sorted through

then had to strip the green one to get the carpet out
bride seat got destroyed in the crash, i ended up smashing the seat subframe to get it out then released how expensive the sub frames are alm: :bawling:

and the carpet eventually in the purple one, thats all i got done on the first day as the rest treating took up lots of time

next day i cracked straight on (didnt get any photos till evening when i was packing up)
the car use to have powerfold mirrors which use a diffrent plug for wingmirrors, so i had to cut the plug off the plug off and solder on a new one

whole interior has been fitted apart from a drivers seat as i need to buy a new one same story with steering wheel

    front coilovers fitted

front brakes also fitted but still need to fit brake lines, old owner choped the old lines off so having to take the ones off the green one

    so still to do
    fit front brake lines
    fit rear toe arms
    fit drivers seat
    fit exhaust
    fit boost controller
boost gauge if i find one
    fit rear coilovers
then its ready for the engine

So as of last night the engine has been removed from the green 200
Started by disconnecting all the wires and pipes there isn't too much to disconnect in the scheme of things

    Engine on its way out

    Aaand it's out

    Plans while it's out

    Change alternator
    Degrease engine
    Replace gaskets if needed
    Change clutch

Lots have been done but not really taken many pictures so here's what I have

    Gearbox off the engine

Clutch locks to be in good condition so ill leave it on till I go for upgrade powers

Gearbox refitted then engine dropped into the new shell with hard race engine mounts

Car our with the old one

    Intercooler kit fitted

Boost controler fitted in a carbon fibre surround

Got loads more to update but phone only has 2% battery so another day

Plugged a battery in all the interior electrics work which is nice

Painted the engine fan ford graphite gray

    Re undersealed the underside

Japspeed exhaust is now on, going to get a flexi decat pipe as current it's solid bolted to the turbo and is known to crack manifolds

Fitted new belts to the engine, just needs oil and radaitor then it's ready to start

    And how it's currently sat

In between all this I did some work on the bmw and forgot to do up the bonnet pins which resulted in the bonnet flying up at 70 and smashing the windscreen

It'd already got a new nice green bonnet and the world's happiest man fitted a new windscreen

    S14:
Fitted the other side adjustable rear tow arms

And just ordered rear camber arms too

Then I fitted some uprated front tie rods, standards are prone to bending and looked quite old so fitted some japspeed strengthens ones

    Fitted

They also have a built in rack spacer to give more steering lock

Painted the front calipers as they looked a bit crap

Then fitted some 10mm spacers for the front wheels

    Bmw:
Another picture poped up from the weekend

Had a day off work today so fitted the rear camber arms

    Old cruddy arms

    New shiny ones

    Both arms fitted

    Looking clean underneath

Being 6ft 5 I needed a bit more leg room so fitted a Deep steering wheel and a quick release to space it out

Once all that was done gave it a wash

Also got a new rear bumper currently in the spray booth

Paintwork has tones to swirls so my friend took the spoiler home to test machine polisher on results look good

Good to see another Damson about. There aren't that many of them around. I'll certainly be keeping an eye on this project .

Navan is the zenki wing. I really like mine but the kouki wing is the best for sure.

    Got my bumper back

    Very impressed with it

    Fitted some number plate lights

    Bumper all fitted

    Then did 4 wheel alignment

As you can see it was very far out all 4 wheels now aligned not much left to do
