If Red Bull didn't pit max for inters i reckon he'd of been very close to Lewis if not in front of him by the end. He was just on it today, great driving even though i don't like the guy haha.
Yeah an incredible drive. Loved his pass on Vettel. They should never have put him on inters.

This is why I don't like modern technology.
My phone has been going berserk this evening with Tapatalk messages, almost all relating to Formula1, and I had to wait for the Channel4 highlights on telly to find out what had happenedI imagined half the grid smashed round a tree.
Now that I've seen it, Max is even more special than has been seen before, the red flag men got plenty of exercise, and AbuDhabi shoud be watchable, and at a sensible time live on Channel4

Problem is the mercs are unbeatable in the dry so unless Nico gets an issue it will be a simple 1-2 and he will be champion. Only takes a puncture though on the last lap

Instead of disappearing from the start in AD, Lewis needs to get in front and back rosberg up into the others. With the 2 straights it will be a mere one two which is no good for Lewis. Only problem with backing him up tho is rosberg could jus take the pair of them out and title would be his anyway

I can see Lewis controlling the pace making sure he doesn't pull away from the rest of field keeping the other cars in play IF he continues with his current form which is nothing short of unbelievable.
Just shows that Rosberg doesn't deserve this title and its just been a lucky year for him.
Lewis has been the better driver this year but being the better driver doesnt always win championships, you need a bit of luck as well.
There are probably people who think he was lucky in 2008 and Vettel was lucky to win 4 in a row as well.
Luck and reliability has always played a part in the championships of past as well. Nico can't do anything right in some peoples eyes, but i'm a bit on the fence as my favourite drivers haven't been in the hunt for the last 3 seasons... So i think Nico drove a well measured race yesterday, he held the car very well, similar to Max when he aquaplaned up the hill. He brought it home for second, which i know isn't what he wants as he wants to win to make the title more just for him, but 2nd is more then enough right now. He'd of most likely settled for 3rd behind Max anyway knowing that he only needs to finish 2nd at Abu Dhabi. He's been on it all year bar Monaco really, which every driver should be allowed a blip in form. It happens to everyone and he genuinely struggled that day as well as admitting it after the race. Its not his fault that he's been on the good side of Merc reliability this season. You can only beat who's in front of you and Nico did just that at every opportunity given. Ateotd points win prizes...
I think if he does win this year then next year will be better between the 2 of them as Nico's main problem has been he couldnt beat Lewis. Head to head I still think he cant but to win one championship will make him feel better IMO and might repair their friendship a bit.
Red Bull need to build a good car next year or i think Toto might try and steal Max from them.
