Films that should not be remade

After seeing the trailer of what looks to be a travesty of a reboot, I'll post it here.

It lead me to think of which films I think should be left alone - especially after seeing some terrible remakes recently.

    1. Shawshank Redemption
    2. The Matrix
    3. Back to the Future
    4. The Goonies
    5. E.T
    6. 2001
    7. The Godfather
    8. Weird Science
    9. One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest
    10. The Shining

There are many others that shouldn't / shouldn't have been remade / rebooted. But that is my list for starters

Star Trek - oh, too late, it's already been completely ruined.

I knew I was middle aged when I started to feel sorry for the Headmaster and thought Ferris was a little shit.

    Agree with all you've said.

Point ****ing Break. The original is brilliant. I can't bring myself to look at the remake.

In isolation, it's a fun brain out romp.

Remakes are the best films for having on in the background when working on the sofa!

Ha ha,I quite like the look of that new ghostbusters

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!

Ghostbusters looks like the new star wars, half reboot half remake. Too many similarities between the original & the new one & that's just the ones in the trailer, the studios play it safe every time.

Nothing. Remake as many films as you like..... they are all shit and I will always be able to watch the original. It doesn't both me.
