Pigeon mod help

Hi, I'm thinking of doing this pigeon mod thing. Do I need a proper induction kit or can I use the standard air intake with the standard exhaust?

You can do it with the rest standard, you just won't get so much noise.

I just fitted the pigeon this evening and was disappointed by the noise, can hear it above wind above 2nd gear. Will it get much louder once the induction kit is on?

to get a better pitch you need a aluminium pipe straight from turbo to maf - filter

Tbh you're not gonna hear much noise when it is contained in a box! You will hear it alot more with an induction kit.

But yea for best results fit a solid intake pipe

as pointz mentions a induction kit will help . the pipe gives it the pitch. ive just recently done mine and its pretty loud. ive got a fair few pipes and joiners left but it depends on the diameter you want also. but demon tweeks or ebay are some places.

Did you make your own?

Thats what i done with 2 45degree bits of alloy tube and 3 joiners

Yeah I used 2.5" pipe and two joiners to the z32 but need to make the cross bars inside the pipe yet as it will try to cut out.
