    GK Tech order

Anyone need to order anything from GK Tech?

I'm after a lockout kit but the postage is crippling (doubling the cost!)

They charge about $43Aus a Kg.

I'd have some rear lower arms but they've been out of stock forever

Can't they do a better price on the shipping?

Tried mate, they won't budge at all on it. Tax knocks off $4 from the kit but postage doesn't change. It's just not worth ordering them.

GK Tech do an OEM-like S13 washer bottle that is in demand.

I don't need one personally but was just thinking it might be worth you buying to sell on.

There are quite a few things that you could purchase to sell on for profit too... Uprated viscous fan for example.

Sorry forgot to reply to your pm! I think i will give the eccentric lock kit a miss for now, cheers for the offer though! I may see if a local machine shop can make me up some of the washers!

    No worries mate,

It's a crazy price, the cost of the kit is pretty steep but the delivery is bonkers. Mark is looking into the bits to see if he can do something similar. That might be able to help us.

My only issue is the car is booked in for 11th March so I don't have much time to sort it out.

    Do you think they're overcharging?
IIRC there are a couple of lads from Oz on the forum who might be able to help

every time i've bought from GKtech i've try'd to order enough to maximise what i bring over against the shipping costs. I also managed to get a better deal on multiple items emailing and getting a shipping cost that way as their website just adds the individual shipping costs for parts together.

An eccentric lockout kit is easy enough to make up, you need bolts obviously and 5mm thick washers 32-36mm in diameter can't remember exactly what size.

I used two repair washers to get the thickness and the diameter was about right.

If you do make an order there are a couple of things i'd be interested in.

Last time i ordered from them i asked them to at least write a reduced value on the waybill so if i got import fee's it wouldn't be as much, they were happy to do that, but postage price is ridiculous, otherwise i'd of ordered their prototype hub knuckles and geo arms by now.

I just ordered a brake caliper adapter from aus for a bit of a brake project I'm doing and that was 90 dollars to ship it must just be Australia. I do want to get something from gktech but when are you thinking of ordering?

Prototypes of ones I made, finished ones were slightly thinner and had chamfered edges.

Made a few sets before, might still have some stainless left or could do some aluminium ones if people prefer.

I ran with the standard bolts but was going to change them for some 10.9 BZP cap heads.

These guys may be cheaper p&p from the states.http://www.splparts.com/spl-eccentri...t-kit-s13-z32/

I can also make some if Mark cant. Might look into some myself anyway. Just cover postage.
