    Gearbox Input shaft bearing.

Anyone changed this before? Before my car came off the road the input shaft bearing was making a noise and there's a bit of play in the shaft now so before I put it back in the car it would be good to replace this bearing.

Anyone done this and know where to get the bearing from?

its easy enough to change. take the box off the car. then take the front cover off from inside the bell housing.then take the giant circlip off.

I needed a press to remove the bearing, as it's pressed on to the shaft.

I stripped the whole box though, but you may be able to use a puller if you leave the external snap ring in place and you can get a bit of purchase on it. Not sure though.

This is the bearing, and where I got it from.

Thanks for the link. I called Nissan earlier and they wanted £48 for the bearing. I've ordered the one from that link so fingers crossed.

Could you get some prices for the front cover gasket and oil seal. Didn't realise my inbox was full. I'll clear some space.

    Yeehaw lol.

Once I get the new bearing I'll strip the box and remove that shaft. Can fit the remaining engine parts too then .
