Insurers able to shed some light on my quotes?

Ok So my insurance is due on the 8th Feb and i have been looking at quotes and ma a bit surprised that the insurers on here could do nothing.

First of the bat i know i am young, im 19 at the moment and will be 20 at the end of February. Nearly three years driving and two years no claims, never had a crash just ended my first policy early so i could modify my Ibiza!

I got the car when i was 18, and my quote for last year was just under £1400 fully comp if i remember rightly.

So this year thinking that i would be able to work a deal with one of the linked sxoc insurers to get some top notch insurance but i was wrong.

Green light wouldn't touch me at all, sky was at over £1500 third party and flux was an astonishing £2600!!! with the discount and a voucher that i won.

I know its probably to do with my age, but after a year of driving the car and having experience with it i would have thought they would be able to do better that what they did.

Is that just me being optimistic and a dreamer or not?

could be that the nissan is off the road soon if not

Had a go at some comparison sites and got it down to about 1k which seems better, juts thought that the specialized sx insurers would be a bit more competitive when trying to insure my sx

live in a good area low crime level, the roads full of old biddys tho

If it makes you feel any better, I paid £2400 fully comp for the S13 when I was 18... You're lucky to even find £1k.. just do it lol

Yeh I'm more than happy to pay 1k for the insurance, just thought the SX specialist insurers would be a bit more competitive

I first insured my s14 when I was 19. If i remember right mine was about 1600. With some modifications declared and fully comp that was with elephant. I personally was quite happy with that.

Way it is mate for the younger generation and you have to bare in mind weve just had massive floods in the uk meaning insurers have paid out alot of cash, and they gotta get it back somehow so everyones premiums go up

For a laugh I thought I'd see how much it woukd cost to insure my Skyline currently in storage at my mum and dads place for the last six years in the UK. Now when I was in the UK it cost me a little of 450 quid FC all mods declared all singing all dancing. I was in my early 20s. Now late 30s married own place no kids basically transfered all info from Auz to UK except one thing nc discout. The quote come back at an incredible ........... wait for it

    £10889.70!!!!!!!!! Thats over $20k

    ,
My insurance here on the 200 is less then 350 bucks.

Some insurers pretty much don't touch people until you're a certain age anyhow, the likes of Sky said they wouldn't really consider me until I was 21.. But I've never gone back to them to see what quotes they would give me now anyway.

Specialists need to get low prices some how, and insuring younger people probably doesn't help that!

    Adrian Flux?

I would say Green light but I think for any type of S-Body or similar you need to be 23, I only know this because I tried to get a quote from them but they couldn't for that reason.

Multiple policies through the same broker (A-Plan Thatcham) with the same underwriter (Markerstudy). Most are on limited mileage, but I can't drive them all at once anyway!

Yep I used to use A Plan Thatcham office years ago, but they can't get near Flux anymore for me.

Sky and Greenlight are miles off in Warrington post codes
