Must of took some balls to chop up an immaculate car.

Personally I wouldn't of bothered, not even if the arches you fitted was the only ones in the world, just doesn't work IMO

Haha yes took some balls !!. I think what swayed it for me is that its not a 9k spec R so it doesnt stand me at much and a spec S is never going to be worth a masive amount. Plus I had to have the Cosmis wheels no matter what and they dont do any different offsets but thanks for the reply

Finally decided on suspension and went for some tein flex Z.
Originally bought some new HSDs to use while waiting for these.
No stock in the UK so got them direct from Japan. Arrived this morning..

In between working full time and attending to two very needy sprogs i managed to pull this lump out. Much easier then expected.

Probably give it a clean and a jetwash whilst out.

Loom needs to come out and be made into one with the straight cam loom.
Lots of bits on the way this week hope to have it going back in weekend after next.
Earned myself a beer after that

Had a quick clean under bonnet whilst the weather was nice this eve. Nothing major just some tar and glue and some hot soapy water. Well worth the effort I think

Just clutch and flywheel to bolt on, then manifold and turbo and she's ready for in. Found a t28 from a s14 with all new gaskets.
Went for a larger flywheel kit and organic type clutch, hopefully keep a softish pedal

Need a bit of help on the exhaust. I'm using a s14 elbow and would like to keep the standard spec s exhaust but not sure if a s14 downpipe will bolt to my cat. I'm presuming it won't be that easy.

Mines not actually working yet so can't say I'm an expert 😃

Engine, loom, ecu, fuel pump, boost controller, Intercooler and a few other bits and bobs.

You need to make one loom out of your loom and the engine loom from the engine your using (I cheated and got someone to do this for me)

If I regret one thing, it's not buying a complete setup, my engine was missing turbo side and a few other bits but it all quickly adds up

Popped this monkey in over the weekend. This has to be the easiest car to engine swap, can't believe how easy it was

Still need intercooler and pipework, think I'm best with a front mount, oh and a downpipe. Hopefully that's the last few bits on the shopping list......

Started to fit intercooler this evening,
Bumper needs a slight trim and bumper bar too but not as bad as I thought it would be.

I too was torn between the sr and rb, I suppose it depends what you want the car for. Mine is a daily driver and would eventually like to see about 300bhp so didn't really see the point in the extra cost and work of the rb when the sr is more than capable of that.
Conversion is fairly easy, main bits to buy are, engine, ecu and loom, intercooler, downpipe, fuel pump, boost controller. I had someone make my loom for me. Just a case of plumbing it all in. If I'd done one thing different it would be buy everything from one car not in bits like I have as its worked out much more expensive.

Well what seems like ages I finally went for my first journey after the swap. Few niggles to sort but just happy to get it running.

Next job get my widened front wings painted this week. Front wheels are just too wide for standard wings
