I am shocked, no one like a blue ND.?
Then again i did turn my TV colour settings from vivid/bright to normal and yeah it a bit not good in those pics so..
But i still want a blue ND, bit darker though.
Gonna get photoshop out.

Ok so after sobering up that blue was a bit loud, so onto something else to chav up the mx5 with.
Now i have seen a few cars go about with an led strip across the back of them like this squashed beetle.
And i thought, how hard would it be to do it. Well i dont need to work it out as folks over on miata.net have already got into the whole.. er led light thing
The ND has a space between both rear lights that looks as if it was supposed to be fitted with a line of leds - its almost too perfect the way they line up.
Here is a yank one
Someone here has used those led strips that are like a soft neon glow - which looks even more factory but to me seem a little too bright although that could be the camera.
So i have a reel of red leds and will see if i can make a non shit version of this as my exhaust isnt chav enough. Apparently easy to reconfigure for a brake light as well, as in they can get brighter when you brake although thats a bit too for me.
Pheeeeeeew.... a couple of hours has past and no one has shouted "blind bastard" at me, even that superb member arry with his porch thing which i was worried about as i posted another portshe and you know.. they like .... .... communicate porchis.
So you are going to light up the arse of your hairdresser's car with fairy lights.
Meh. What's the point ?
It won't make it go faster, accelerate faster nor handle better.
Yes it will everyone knows more light = faster car.
Or was that more lightness = faster car.. not sure.
However on the subject of making it goes faster, two new pilot super sport 4s on the front today - that my wallet feeling a bit lighter.
Hovering over some ARB's at the moment, handling is already very good - but ARBs did wonders for the S14 and supposedly they are worth the work on the mk4 mx5.
I probably wouldn't do it unless you could guarantee the light output was the same as your factory cluster, because otherwise it'll look obviously aftermarket. I'm sure you can vary the output though.
Not the worst thing I've ever seen.
Chav enough for Aston 2019 Vantage
Well thats me ordered a set of eibach springs (the pro kit, they are also the mazda lowering springs in the catalogue)
While the Nd's handing is great it does have a bit of a roll issue, its not as bad as it looks in pictures... some shots show Nds doing circuits and wallowing like a boat - in the car its actually quite decent but you can still feel a bit of roll even on the sports bilstein shocks.
So i am putting on a set of the 30mm drop pro's - had eibachs on my primera, sx (early on before going nuts with everything), Be em and now the 5. Lots of good things to be said about them on line so i hope to be impressed.
Might need to drop a set of spacers on ... maybe 15mil or so but will see what the springs settle to first. Still this thing is a proper wee weapon on the back roads, not slow at all and does corners with huge grip from the super sport 4s i recently chucked on.
Surely you'd want to think about a thicker set of ARB's as well as springs if it rolls abit too much?
Doing the ARBs on the mk4 is what is generally classed as a nightmare, the front is a pain in the ass to do.
Will see what the eibachs are like first, most say that enough of the roll is dealt with to not need arbs done (on the road at least, not track).
So some of the mods have arrived, eibach prokit and some 20mm spacers.
Wasnt going to go quite as big as 20mm on each side until i found out that lowering the ND means you loose 8mm of track on the rear suspension geometry (or something like that) - so fk it 20 per side all round should make it sit nice.
Just need to work up the energy to get em on, not the hardest job though - seems quiet easy compared to the SX which i changed suspension on 3 or 4 times and had some utter 'tard bolts to get awf.
Let the modding commence
