Yeah the bbr remap seems good, prob fix the issues with the lack of top end.
The "brown" one must have been resprayed as its not a stock colour, who would colour there motor like that

I love the MX5 and missed mine in this warm weather, I also love my 200 and missed it in the 10 years I was without one, two different beasts really and can't be compared, the MX5 as standard handles great and the steering is on point where the 200 is all about tunability and all is SX owners strive to get the responsible steering that the MX5 has as standard.
It's like comparing pizza to curry, both good at what they are

Yeah two totally different cars.
The sx is all about grunt, i miss the mad rush once the 2871 came on and shoved the sr (erratically) down the road.
The ND is nowhere near as quick but still fast enough, its all about keeping speed up on the corners so you dont need to mash the go pedal.
Plus its cabin is miles ahead of the s14, its miles ahead of the gt86 as well which felt like they were taking the piss for a 27k car.
Not going to lie, I love my 200 but it frustrates the s@it out of me, always seems to be something from a ball joint, cracked fuel pipe or brake calipers that have needed work, only reason I've kept onto it is my love for the car itself and the comments/looks I get from people out and about as you don't seem them around anymore.
My girlfriend commented how she misses my MX5 and she far preferred it to "the one you've got now", I'd be lying if I said I wanted toying with the idea of a 2.0 2006 NC MX5 for the price I could get for mine

Thats why i didnt go for a second hand motor, i really have had it with things not working. I want a car i know will work and not one that will maybe run right.
The sx was a pain in the arse, the merc i had had faults and the e46 was utterly awful - shocking to be honest. Hence back to jap for me.
Ahem...new zorst for the ND
But now imagine 2 of these... one either side.
Yep, going full retard... going full quad all the way from the bottom of the main, removing the main cat and all the way back.
Sounds fully antisocial

Its still going to have the power sucking stock exhaust mani until next year, then it along with its kitty will be dropped for a nice replacement - netting another 10bhp, so around 190 in total.
Which in a 1040k car is ... adequate(ish)
Basically bout as fast as the facelift ND then
Next years Nd is indeed supposed to be rocking 180ish bhp and a 7500rpm redline, so yeah i will be there as i am about 180 with a 7.3k limit now.
The facelift might have changes to suspension and gearing as well, the RF had slightly stiffer springs so they may go that route again with the MY2019
A 180bhp nd has a pwr of about 170 bhp/ton which is no shabby at all.
Well here is my little skateboard now with 4 noise making bits on it - ok a bit over the top but hey..
Bloody hell its loud, its a resonated system but that doesnt mean quiet - its louder than my old S14, prob due to not having a puffer in the way.
Exhaust is a header back, still got the stock header though with its pish wee cat which needs to go as thats the big restriction on these NDs.
At the moment its going to be around 180bhp, with its remap and 7300rpm redline - pretty much what the new '19 MX5 will be next year as it gets extra grunt and a much higher rev limit as well.
Cars pretty quick, short gearing and very low weight - compared to say and M3 or 370z !! its faster than you think, the lack of outright welly only becomes apparent after 80 or 90mph.
Next up would prob be a replacement header to get shot of that first kitty, then change the map over to the stage 3 one i have for it (on 2 at the moment), might see close to 190bhp with that. Any more and its cams or forced puff.
Handling, well its good as it is - could do with a small tightening of the body roll but its not really bad as it is even though it does seem to move about a lot, brakes could maybe do with a pad change for a bit more bite.
Quad exhaust??
Yep , if its good enough for an obese overweight M3 then its good enough for a 2ltr 4 cylinder 1000kilo skateboard.
Bayside blue would look good, that blue ^^^ looks shit

To me that looks like something straight out of 90's Max Power
However, i'd have my car the colour I want it

2010 - on : 2007 RX8 PZ

Looks gash IMO. Sorry.
As it's a wrap I say go for it!! Variety is the spice of life as the say
