    Paint job, engine bay

Hay guys, am having some welding done on my red s14a I know the colour code stuff. However as you's will know the engine bay is a mat/different shade than the rest of the car, I take it that it is just not had a coat of lacquer?

    Cheers

    Dave

it doesn't have lacquer no, but it also isn't just base coat, its a special type of black slightly heat resistant and more durable then ordinary paint over time it turns shit though

^^^This, but it's a satin solid colour with a special additive to make it more durable.

Modern base and clear is fine to use in engine bays.

rustoleum is pretty good and hardwaring.

If I washing to the effort of reprinting the engine bay I wouldn't be doing it in a standard colour

Thanks for all the feed back. It's not an engine out job it's just patch up welding job on innervous arches/guards. Full bay will get done if engine is being lifted.

    Thanks
