I'll start with my Peugeot 106, 1.1 litres of pure power, was a rare model being carburettor and manual choke too, had a new problem with it every week
My first car was a 1998 1.4 Civic. Loved this car and it took so much abuse.

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of my first car. Too old for the digital era to have kicked in then. Lost all my hard copies in various house moves and flooding/damp etc. Was a mk1 golf gti

Mine was a lada samarha 1300 SL with twin choke webber 40s like the op every week something broke or went wrong. Safe as houses to leave about mind you some of the places I left it I thought for sure it would be gone but no............
God I'm too old for that. A Mk4 'Tina laser anyway

Please note, ive realised the errors of my ways and forgive me......

Had a induction kit which sounded mental, corbeau seats and faux carbon fibre centre console
I learnt ALOT in/from that car! had my first incident, aqua planing at 50 and spinning 2 1/2 times, fitting a 1.8 back axle and having a caliper let loose and be held on by just the brake hose, the meaning of anti roll bars and how they can improve the drive etc.
How to wrap parts in vinyl, how to prep and spray (basics with rattle cans), how to split headlights and paint them, how to install a radio and sub, how to drive, how to avoid dealerships and things like bonnet bras made sense at the time when they where 'in' but now

Triumph dolomite for me. Was a cool car when it started.
I'm old and started playing with cars early at 7/8 years old,and my Mum regrets giving in and teaching me to drive at 11
in the new then cortina, iirc it was nearly 4k in 1978, So at about 14 I was often 'lending' mums mk4 '78 'T' 1.6 base Cortina,
then the mk5 replacement 1.6 L (so it had a fag lighter!) bought new 1980 and was 'borrowed' often
my first car at 16 was a black Capri mk1 1600 gt (with the rare xlr pack) paid £25 for it
didn't drive it much as was I was 16 ,and ended with the engine/car dismantled and me chopping the roof off with an Axe
1st car I drove legalishly was a 1972 1.3 Triumph Toledo,the rwd version that was £15 I think
that got abused (oh what a surprise!)And coped pretty well,
the worst of the abuse was probs on third attempt I cleared the entire railway level crossing local to me,
I was dared and stupid enough to try,hit it at 80 and endo'd to death,smacked sump on the road,tore a hole and pi$$ed out oil
from the impact point and bent the rear of the chassis upwards a lot, repaired sump and still drove it though another 4 months or so
No pics of them,and no way as stupid as I was then now,
I'm in the too old camp but mine was a 205 gt, stonking car that was falling to bits
My first car that i bought with my own money was this bad boy:
1.8 SXi Mk4 Astra. It was actually fantastic and i drove it for just over a year without modifying it. Really regretted selling that for a turbo version as thats where my Modifying bug hit and i've been broke ever since lol.
First was either a nova or Sierra had a few of both round the fields.
First road legal was a mk1 phase 3 clio, which before it died ended up with full diy tints, Lexus lights a 5" exhaust and a sound system worth more than the car, but who cares I loved it and thought I was great lol
my 1st car was my mk2 golf 1.3, loved it
I had a mk4 escort 1.4L 5 door
1998 Nissan 200sx s14a , 2000 std 5 speed with nismo supercoppermix clutch bn6 Sapphire Blue
A 1973 Triumph 1500 (a fwd dolly) in sienna brown with brown interior. 135,000 miles, unrestored and my Dads since 1982 . . and that was in 2002 when I was 17.
Kept it as a 2nd car for another 5yrs until the S14 came along.

It was an Austin Metro 1.3 Vanden Plas
Had the upgraded velour trim, leccy front windows, a sunroof and faux wood trim. 😂
What a chic magnet that thing was. Fecking death trap as well. Crashed it 2 weeks after passing my test with my girlfriend of 1 week in the passenger seat. Overshot a corner in the wet (massively) and finished up in a field, just stuck it in reverse and fought it back out onto the road. 😀 Good times.
Mine was a mk2 golf 1.3 in blue also, no pics though because the PC with the pics on it died. It was completely standard of course except the CD player and JBL speakers in the rear which you couldn't see.
