I have a B&M one and its fine, obviously more effort than standard since you're taking away the levering force but I wouldn't say its difficult to push into gear.

I've just got a generic ebay one, same as what apex and japspeed sell, and its mint on mine, i run it with a solid shifter bush and a extended zilla gearknob and its fine to bash through the gears, in fact i ****ing love it lol.

I had issues with my short shifter when I first installed it, switched to a poly gearbox mount and it greatly improved.
If the box is flopping all over the place when you're trying to change gears it's going to make it hard to find the cog you're looking for.

that makes sense I can tell the box is moving a fair bit when I go for it . Al defo look into a new mount for the gearbox anyone else got any suggestions this seems to be a pretty common issues

    B&M short shifter FTW!

When did you last change your gearbox oil?

As said though I also noticed a big difference when changing engine and gearbox mounts

    Engine and gearbox?
It should move around that much with those mounts on.
