ECU not sending rev signal!!!!!
Hi All,
Need help you may of seen some of my thread about my rev counter not working and i have tried everything to get it to work
but no luck.
Any way i brought and unfinished project s14a of my mate so out came the speedo, plugged in to mine and still no rev counter
So i then plug the ecu in and yep the car starts up ( only for a few secs because of nats) but the rev counter works.
So i take that my ecu is not sending the rev counter a signal. I have done a little looking on google but can not fine any
info.
SO what is wrong with the ecu and how can i fix it? I have taken the covers of the ecu but i can not see any thing wrong.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Ant

If your 100% sure the new ecu fixed your rev counter AND 100% sure it worked on your current (broken) ECU. Then it's one of the micro chips/transducers in the ecu. It's nigh on impossible to fix your ecu yourself, specialists in ECU repair could replace the faulty parts but really unlikely. Your better off buying a 2nd hand non bats unit.

Hi,
S15 sam i rang a few ecu places up and lets just say they want way to much to repair it. There was not one company that i rang that had repaired one of these
ecu before aswell!!!
So looks like new ecu then get chip removed out of my one in to the new one more ££££ got to love it
Thanks Ant
