    BIG UPDATE!

the engine is fully rebuilt, in and running! I'm super happy with it even if it needs lots of cosmetic improvements. BUT, i got a super surprise when stiv discovered that its running a healthy s15 bb turbo! that has really made up for the costs i had on the rebuild as opposed to having bought a healthy engine from the start ha. its running a good 224bhp atm but of course given the turbo, im going to go fmic, afm, rad and nistune to reach a great 300bhp.

whilst fitting it got an aftermarket fuel pump, fresh fuel filters, new injector seals, full 3" exhaust from turbo back.

at home it now got a new driver's seat belt (mine wasnt retracting great) and some super cool asian lantern lights for dem' nite meetz!

    also got taxed ugh *gutted*....

and got a fluffy gaitor and nismo gear knob

now, it needs a few jobs...
    1) temp gauge isnt working, need to investigate, and oil lamp is on, s14-s13 wrong plug
    2) oil change after 500 miles
    3) paint engine bay gloss black and clean/paint lots of bits
    4) needs headlights aligned and tracking badly

lots of more bits i wanna do but atm im just happy to drive it

spent yesterday tidying up the engine bay... was a lot of work but came up nice
painted the pipes black, cleaned all the rubber and struts, removed the broken expansion bottle and a few more bits.
removed the manual boost controller too as it was very very spikey...

and this is how my lanterns look at night

Pull your seatbelt all the way out and spray about 6 inches of the beginning of the belt on both sides with silicone spray then pull it in and out a few times. Repeat this a couple more times and it should solve the retracting issue for a while, not a complete fix but it does help a lot.
