Another small parts-related update. I've had my heart set on a Carbing shift knob for a long time now, but this original Nismo item came up at the right price so I jumped on it. I haven't seen too many around with the original logo which is cool.

It'll be fitted with a B&M short-shifter at the same time.

Remember seeing that ARC pop up on the Yahoo auctions. I was going to bid on it. Good thing I didn't

    Haha, thanks for not bidding!

There's a ropier one on there currently if you're feeling brave

I've been searching for months for an ARC coilpack cover, but it's like they never even existed

AD08s finally mounted. I'll get the wheels swapped over in the next week or so when I can find some time.

What are your tyre and rim sizes? I've got AD08's to put on my new wheels when they arrive

    18x9 - 225/40
    18x10 - 255/35

The AD08s run wider than normal, but they came out exactly how I wanted. A good balance between square sidewalls and arch clearance.

I've got 245/40 for a 9.5 and 255/40 for a 10 so will see how they come out when fitted

Those will be perfect. 255 in 40 flavour will be quite chunky, but that's not a bad thing!

Unfortunately the choice is quite narrow for 17" rims. Can't really get 35 profile for hardly any sizes.

Oh they're 17s! I thought they were 18s. In which case those sizes are spot on.

That's better! Strange how much the colour of the car changes when moving it around.

Now the spacers are off to accomodate for the wider tyres, I'll need to space the rears about 10mm to get them sitting flush. Annoying but unsurprising.

Fitted the Nismo gearknob but I'm not certain on it. I think I prefer the look and feel of the standard leather, but will give this a few weeks to see if I come around to it.

I reckon a black nismo duracon would go pretty well with the rest of your interior.

Yea the standard knob does look pretty good on the S14.

I think you're absolutely right, or even better a Nismo GT500 in black. The current Nismo is the only chrome thing in there, and looks a bit too loud. Eventually the silver gauges will be swapped out for something a bit darker too.
