Played the demo now and IMO they shouldn't have bothered with 5 and just waited for this - this is what 5 should have been if it hadn't been rushed out

Really liking the wet weather driving after being a bit like "they'd never allow an F1 race if there was this much standing water"

I liked the demo so much that I've just pre-ordered the ultimate edition because I'm a mug

The beginning of the game is basically playing the demo again which is annoying seeing as I've played the demo through a couple of times already

Of the new circuits I've tried so far I'm liking Lime Rock Park but not Circuit of the Americas so much as it's too wide for my fairly underpowered GT86 - maybe it'll be better in a race car

God I am soooo tempted to get this when I get home but I am only 3% complete on metal gear solid and that will go to the back of the shelf and be a waste lol

I heard the new MGS was really good - I don't have time to play both either though

I am LOVING this game. It's so much more complete than 5. So many more cars and tracks, loads more modes in career, like race car showcases where you race all sorts of different exotic machinery. And it's all accessible, not super hard to drive like a PC sim. Got to be the ultimate console racing game IMO.

I had about half an hour on the demo last night and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. The wet weather driving was superb, a great new dynamic. The GT86 I was driving felt very lively and nicely balanced.

I also noticed in the showcase race (Indycar) that all the cars are different, as per the actual grid. It's not just a couple of cars repeated like in Forza 5. Excellent touch.

Sounds like this is the push I needed to get an XBox One!

Im still on the fence with it, The wet weather is great looking but the fact its either wet or not with ridiculous standing water is a bit daft IMO.

Pcars has properly spoiled us in terms of proper weather/time cycles. I don't see me swapping back to FM which is a shame.

The standing water on the demo is pretty horrific to hit for sure

I'd go as far as saying it ruins the whole wet racing for me

Played the previous one for a month and Forza Horizon for an hour. Think I'll give it a miss, especially know I know there is no s14!

I bought Project Cars but have barely played it - maybe it's different if you have a wheel but I can't get on with the handling using a controller. IMO FM6 strikes the perfect balance between realism and 'fun' - remember that? I think some of these PC sims especially concentrate too much on realism rather than being playable/enjoyable.

The controller settings for Pcars need a bit of a tweak but once you get them its far better than the standard settings, Recent patches have helped massively as well. I play on a pad and a decent wheel. Forza is more pick up and play theres no denying that but the FFB in it it very poor.

Anyway, Maybe when it becomes proper cheap with all the inevitable DLC's bundled together i might pick it up

Is there any definitive reason I might want to buy this? Im pretty tired of being fleeced for DLC and wet weather is in Horizon 2. I havent missed a Forza yet, but I feel like I need to be given a reason to buy this one. The customisation of the cars doesnt seem to have changed since FM2!

Nice to see Lime Rock Park has finally made it onto a modern game
It's an awesome little circuit - Just a shame Forza won't give you the mountain layout that's available in GPL

Still not tempted enough to get a new Xbox though
