    crazy exhaust idea

Decided for my project I'd have a cracking at making my own exhuast didn't I. Should be interesting considering the plan.

Obviously not finished yet as waiting on some other bits but it's coming along nicely. Will also need the welds cleaning up and maybe some vht

    Cheers

    Chris

I'll stick up some more pics in a bit. Been doing more to it today.
    There are 2 downpipes yes.

Pics of the car will have to wait as it's a long way from done but doing the exhaust as the engine is in and then can strip it and sort the rust.

    here we go then.
see if this sheds some more light.

don't know if its obvious what im doing but, three exits. one 3 inch from twin 2.5 inch with the 3 silencers (2 single 2.5 and one cherry 3")
the 3 inch exit I am going to make various tips for one of which is already looking to be a boom tube style end.

then the 2 other exits are straight pipes that are 2.5 from the headers back which I am waiting for some electric cut outs for.

so I am hoping the 3" will be fairly deep noise and balance the banks while the 2 x 2.5 will just be all out lairy when I want them to be.

    does that make sense?

    im undecided on exhaust ends.

    my decisions are

boom tube type centre from centre of diffusor or round type

and cut outs exit under car or extend to diffusor or further

    ideas please

Mine has 2 exits one of each side of the bumper just used a holesaw to cut the holes out and then 2 cheap 2.75 inch rounded tips.

Well will see what I can achieve tomorrow. But I like the idea of it at the front of the diffuser as it acts on the air then

There's a lot going on with that exhaust ,,,I like it,,just lots to it and pretty unique ,no idea what it will sound like
so looking forward to a sound clip

And I'm a great fan of weight saving but I have to question zip ties in place of prop to diff bolts

I'm sure the zip ties will do the trick.
Just wanted to get placement of it and have an abundance of the things. Anyway not much torque in the engine and it's an ally prop so will be fine. Haha.

There isn't much going on with it really. Pretty simple when you see it in real. Will get a pic off the car and should be easy to see what's happening. Just hope silenced section is pretty quiet but doubt it.

Not running yet. Got to plumb up fuel tank but want to pull the engine first and take off sub frames to sort some other bits.

It is a bit heavy but I can lift it fairly easy. It's not full length of the car it cuts off at start of rear diffuser to act on it.

Maybe one day I can get some stainless and a bender.

Or do a turbo build on it.

Your not the only one that wants to hear it. Lol

I'm hoping the silenced section takes a lot of decibels out.

That was the aim. I put the gates as far back as I could to try to make it like a gas reservior to help silence the centre too. We shall see at some point tho.
