Sounds like they quoted you the wrong part.. even a Nissan dealer shouldn't be that expensive.

You would think but they really are that expensive.

    group H weight 6.133 kg !!! **** !!!! that is WRONG
$47.00 shipping! Looks like it's based on the NISSAN listed weight. I just had 4Gb of memory that cost £12 shipped from China for free (marked "gift") and that would be about the size and weight of a knock sensor.

What I think happens is they run out in a market and have to make a small batch and that COSTS. They don't move stock from USA/JAP to Europe and then make a batch for the whole world so price in some places will be different as they still have old production stock. This happened with CA18 tappets, same as ZX tappets so when UK price doubled people bought from USA, then they ran out and USA price doubled. Nissan put spares up by 5% each year but cost of small batch will put the price though the roof. Nearside drive shafts cost more than offside - more people have hit curb hard sideways on nearside.

As they have run out here they are being bought and that means they fail. If you have a plan for long term SR ownership get some now from USA while they still have them.
