Usually a cracking race. Bugger all between Nico and Lewis in quali really. Lets hope for some scraps.

Looking forward to it. Btcc was dull today, hope this makes up for it

Go Lewis.
Canada one of my favourites - especially 2011 which was epic!
Great time for a race as well.
Pretty dull so far
Yep. Only a couple of decent overtakes so far.
The DRS overtakes are naff
I really hope Fernando ran it out of gas
Romain = unbelievable.
I think both Maclarens wouldn't of made it on fuel looking at how the mercs used 99.5 ish kilos.

Yeah really has. Nico was up there the whole race though, Lewis didn't seem to be able open a big lead.
They need to get rid of this saving fuel crap.
Bring back the v10s and refuelling
Mclaren making a c*** of it again eh?? hows that move going Alonso?
Get rid of this green crap, return to refueling and outright performance.
Refuelling isn't the answer but bigger tanks may be.

Still too fragile on the tyres. Lewis put the hammer down yesterday at the start and was nearly 7 seconds off his quali time. And it's not just about the speed - it's the way the cars behave; they're much more exciting when they're on the limit. Bigger tanks would just amplify the fact that they're not.
Bigger tanks wont help as the teams put the least amount of fuel in as possible. They factor in safety cars so when there isnt one they need to fuel save. bigger tanks would be more weight and slower cars. The FIA need to calculate the minimum fuel needed for driving flat out for the whole race and tell the teams thats how much fuel is required. Telling cars they need to fuel save a third into the race is ridiculous. The drivers dont like doing it and the fans dont like seeing it
If the tyres lasted more than a lap without disintegrating when they have some load on then that would help.
It's not like it can't be done... see WEC for a prime example of tyres done right.
Two things on that: ditch the need to use both sets of tyres in the race, design the compound to take a proper amount of abuse without falling off a cliff in the space of a lap.
