    S14a clutch biting point

Hi I have carried out a manual conversion on mine and for some some reason I have a really low biting point

I have put in a new clutch, new slave cylinder, braided clutch line and another master cyclinder but still bites really low.

Any ideas will be much appreciated.

    Thanks

As said, ensure it is properly bled first.

There is also some adjustment on the throw of the clutch pedal, which will give you a higher bite. As it is a conversion this could benefit from
    adjusting.

I found it easier to pull out the master cylinder to adjust this.

Er, with a new clutch you will have a low biting point, as it wears the point gets higher till it ends up biting as you take your foot off the pedal.

    How does the pedal feel?

The pedal is that low that I struggle to even push the clutch enough to engage gears with out forcing it in

I seem to remember there being two sizes of release bearing. I had the same problem with mine with a clutch change and new bearing fitted. I just ended up making a new longer push rod for the slave cylinder.
