Is there a HOW TO for fitting a rear foglight to S14?

    Hi guys.

As above, is there a guide anywhere for wiring a rear fog to a JDM Zenki?

    Thanks

    Lewis

    buy a fog light
    screw to rear bumper
    wire earth locally
run live wire up to centre console and fit to a switch
    put switch somewhere
jimmy off a live to get the power feed - radio live will do with an inline fuse close to the jimmy
have a brew and admire handy work

Does it have to be on the rear bumper ??
Or could it be in the rear screen on the drivers side ?

You can use the offside reversing light with a red bulb and add the associated wiring

The standard S14 bootlid brake lamp is useless by modern standards.
Something I always planned to do, but have not yet got around to, is to add a high level brake light at something that could at least pretend to be high level. High enough to be seen over the dashboard of a MINI.

There's a useful inch or two at the top of the rear screen, which could accommodate a strip, and would not get in the way of the rear view mirror.
A red LED strip of some sort up there could be a useful high level brake lamp.

This would then free up the bootlid lamp to become a fog light.

EDIT: just realised the original question was about a JDM car. Dunno whether those all have the bootlid brake light

forgot about that, go with this, the rear bumper way does the job but using the reverse light is definitely the neater option.
