Won't it just be like last year and waiting for E1 to turn up?? Are any of the other bunch going?

It's about a 6 hour schlep down isn't it, not including piss/fuel break. Can't see the Puma doing it on a single tank of super

I'm only about 10 mins detour from the M74 and another 10-15 mins from Strathy I'll give you a shout with directions and ting over the weekend.

Jamie, 2 routes you can take to sam's, head for the depot then head for EK or head down the 77 as if your coming to mine, then head to EK. Sam is close to my work.

What route are we thinking of taking?

I vote m6 as I find the m1 utter shite and the a66 a nightmare at the slightest sign of an accident.

    We'll find out on Friday

I suppose we will have a couple hours waiting on people anyway at Strathy, Plenty time to plan a route.

I think you should head down the M6.

When you get to Lymm Services at the M56 and M6 interchange the Irish, North Wales and North West convoys are meeting.

Lymm is a good place to stop, has petrol, McDonalds, Smiths, Greggs, Costa, plus M&S Supermarket etc.

Reckon you could get there for about 2pm?

Also, we will head to M6 J16 then A50 the cross country dual carriageway which is fairly empty and avoids M6 around Birmingham.

I find the toll is the best way to get across, any reason you'd avoid it Scottie?

Oh We'll not meet you at Strathy. Thought I'd posted that already. We'll get you on the 74.

yep travel that way for business a fair bit, and the sooner you get off the m6 after the m56 junction the better, there are about 3 sections of 50mph roadworks and lots of holds up, yes you can pay for the toll road but you still get stuck before and after, and even on it last time!

if you take the a50 it's a fast flowing DC that takes 2 miles extra

Are you boys meeting us at Lymm then?

We are heading on after that to meet SteA and then the NE convoy.
