Lol! So that I'm clear, you're now inclined to go with the earlier boat..?

I see the awesome big huge fast HSS boat has been decommissioned - that's like going from Concorde back to some 19th century effort

Yup... Ahh sure, that leaves plenty of time for banter & a few games of 'Cards Against Humanity' on the way!

Still haven't bought the tickets yet - Doh! Will post up once they're bought. Thinking the earlier boat (13:50) makes sense as we'll probably be leaving early enough in the morning anyway like last year.

Bumping this as we are 33 days away and counting, and..... I've just had my days off from work confirmed

Time to update the auld listeen:

    1. Clint & Kev
    2. Conor & Brid - most likely - like 85% sure... (Hopefully this % has increased now the car is back )
    3. JP + Marc
    4. Stiv - Bringing anyone along?

Potentially 8 there if Stiv is bringing anyone which is great, but the more the merrier lads.

More people means more banter, and more cars, which in turn means more craic on the road trip.

If you'd like to come but don't want to bring your own car, the raise your hand and let us know you're interested in being a passenger. There's bound to be someone with a seat who'd appreciate saving a few bob

If I could ask everyone on the list above to do a simple thing this week, and mention the Weekender to a mate, and see if they would be interested in a great weekend with great people, and we'll see if we can push our numbers up a little.

    Cheers

How do you think I've managed to rope Marc into it??! Been telling him about the awesomeness since before he owned an S-body!

I've been mentioning it to other folks too: the only feedback I've got on why they're not interested is either because they're off on holliers at the time already or prefer dori-dori related events. Shame we can't get the drifters accomodated like last year.

Yeah, we would have loved to have a drift track also, but for all the circuits there are in the UK, the vast majority are not drift friendly, and the ones that are just were not available/suitable.

Also, we pulled out all the stops to properly accommodate the drifters last year and the take up was a bit shit to be honest. In order to be cost effective, that's not a risk we were overly keen to take again.

That's sound dude. Yeah I remember thinking at the time that I was surprised the inner track wasn't overly busy throughout the day; shame they couldn't have changed the confirguration throughout the day to suit the demand.

What do you mean? As in open up a longer version of the grip track? Wouldn't have been fair on the lads who trailered cars there to drift. In fairness, the people who did were using the track quite a bit, we just needed more numbers for it to be viable really.
