alright guys,
im booked and sorted for this but i was wondering what everyone was doing regarding insurance? who you go to for a track day.... i am going to japfest 2 on the 16th at rockingham and i would like to get a bit of track time in for a bit of experience. But so far i've had two quotes; one at £70 and one at £85!! seems a bit excessive to me.... can anyone shine some light? personally i think a reg plate of 't200 cya' doesnt help my case but yea.. haha
When my SR sells i'll make a full payment lads!
I paid ~£100 last year for insurance on Snetterton. You've got to remember you're paying for cover to drive flat out, with other people around you doing the same.
Statistics say you're likely to crash
I suppose... £70 for 18 mins track time at japfest seems a bit steep though... For the weekender obviously it's expected as we'll have ages on the track.... Just thought for 18 mins it seems steep
I see where you're coming from but it's just a daily rate, you can't buy it by the minute/hour. At least at the weekender you'll be getting your money's worth if you're coming on track
i don't know if i'll come off the track unless its for petrol or a spin haha
I'm NOT the Chairman anymore, Ken was. He still likes poo though. Its not Jim either now. Ooh ooh, its now Doc!

Paid
Oh, I wish I could go to this..... Oh, wait - f**k the rest of the family..... Membership and Camping - Paid!!!!!
I think he didn't come across well... or you got the wrong end of the stick - he's a good person to be on track with for sure, just making the point you cant be sure of others. Less of an issue on the weekender one would hope, but a normal open pit lane day yku can get unlucky on with some drivers out there - and when you have a car worth more than £1 you're better safe than sorry financially if the worst happens :-)
SO looking forward to this!!! This will be my first track day, first track day in the s14a, and first time meeting you guys! haha. Obviously being first time on track im not gonna go full on Aryton Senna..... lord knows i want to drive home not the AA chap... but it should be so much fun
Thought I'd add that paid for 1 camping and track.
I'm unlikely to be driving anything trackable in August, but I'm paid up for the camping, food, and the craic
That's me paid. Wonder what car I should bring.
