HELP! Wheel refurbishment - South East area

I've got some SSR Professors SP1's (3 piece splits) that I'm trying to get refurbed.

I thought my local refurb specialist could help me out but on my third(!) phone call to them they have said they only do up to two piece slipts, All other local companies are not willing to help me so back to square one!

Can anybody recommend somewhere reasonable to have them done at a reasonable price and good quality?

    Thanks.

Try Rusty Rimz in Soham, they can do most stuff there, 07854 241839, he's on Facebook too, Jason RustyRimz Grant.
He's just done a cracking job on Darren's Work split rims

I have spoken to paintituk recently about a set of split rims I need rerubing and they will only do 2 piece split rims. Lucky mine have been welded so they will do them. there reson was trying to get the barrels to seal.
    what about Lepsons in kent?

I tried speaking to him before but as they're chrome plated I don't think he was too interested in helping me, wouldn't really talk prices and just stopped talking to me. I did think about stirring him up again though...

Lepsons will only do 2 piece too.

I'll give Paint It a call tomorrow.

    Any other suggestions?

All SSR's were welded from the factory, still need splitting down completely into 3pc again and re sealed i believe, well mine were when i got mine done. The place was voodoo motorsport in hemel hempstead. Very high quality work and a top bloke.

One of our customers - http://stanceduk.com/ - have been doing some taking apart of wheels, and putting them back together all nice and refurbed I think - could be worth giving them a shout.

Just tried Paint it - They won't do 3 piece. At the moment it looks like Rusty Rims may be able to strip them down for me and then a place in Norwich will remove the plating, Jason can then do his thing and put them back together.

We used a guy in Peterborough to remove the plating then dropped the wheels back to Rusty, wasn't a problem once the plating was removed

Yeah, the place in Norwich will acid dip it for £25 per rim so that's not too bad.

Hopefully going over to meet him and show him the wheels tomorrow, if he gets back to me with his address lol

Just wanted to say thank you for everybody's suggestions.

Jason (Rusty Rims) can do them for me as they weren't actually plated so left them with him.

Very reasonable rates and his work is fantastic if anybody wants some doing. Surprisingly fast turn around times too.

    Thanks.

The centre caps are genuine SSR ones I got from a chap on here.

Not sure what was used on the dish to bring them up. Think it was mothers mag and aluminium polish.

If they're bare metal then make sure you put plenty of decent sealant on them, if they're still on the original anodised finish but polished up then be careful in the future not to polish the coating completely off

Before they go on the car I strongly advise yiu to put a good 4 or 5 layers of sealant on those lips.
