Hsd coilovers comfy enough for daily driver?

So thinking of getting a set of hsd's and wanted to ask if you guys think these would be good for use on a daily driver? Are they comfy enough?
And over time are there any issues I should know about?

Yes. Daily drove mine on HSD DualTech's for a year, only issue was the rear lower bushes split, Driftworks replaced the whole bottom brackets with no fuss.

I'd say there good for a daily, less harsh than apexi's i now have, i had no issues with mine over 18months..

it all depends on the spring rates.

10/8 coilovers like I have are horrific on a daily driver and poor on a bumpy B road

however, spring rates of 5/4 are supple and great on a dailt basis and B roads

So, choose your suspension based on intended usage and you can get way with the correct coilovers on a daily

I have the HSD mono pros - awesome, AWESOME! Coilovers

Car doesn't feel harsh - feels planted.

Somewhere in the region of 2kg/mm front and back.

I have Tein Mono Flex's with 6/4 rates on my S13 and I'm not a fan. Well it's not too bad but the front spring is definitely too heavy wants to be a 5 or 4.5 really imo. The damping is a little wonky is my main complaint...

I had HSD HR, and Miester R and AST Sportline and Tein Super Streets

I know I'm in the minority here but found the damping on them too hard, so got rid of them. HR's turned to Mono's, don't know if specs changed at all. HSD Dual Techs are meant to have softer damping, never been in a car with them fitted to judge though.

I really like my HSD HRs. Not crashy at all and still stiff enough for some faster driving...

Japspeed Daiyama, 8kg/6kg springs, pretty soft to pretty hard depending on the damper setting. I would say 8/6 springs are perfect all-rounders.

I find my hsd hr's too harsh for B roads and daily driving, my cars not a daily though so it's not so bad.

Am thinking then that it would be useful to have a drive in a car with hsd's so I can feel the ride for myself. I guess like always that it's down to personal tastes.

I have the DTs and I personaly found them quite hard on the 7/5 kg/mm rates I bought some GAZ springs in 325/225lb/in which is 6/4kg/mm and there perfect now

Main reason I swapped the springs is my mrs complained her boobs hurt lol

I'll have to check mate, but honestly it felt like a different car after fitting them and laser alignment.

I had HR's on my S15, other than the piss poor coating on them they were fine for daily use.

On a daily driver, 5/4 is the most I would go on spring rates, and I'd combine these with some good ARB's to reduce roll with out much effect on ride quality.

I'd also stick to light 17 inch wheels, like R33 GTR's are cheap and excellent. You can use 235/45/17 front and 255/40/17 rear tyres with a perfect amount of sidewall.

Id say Hsd monos are great on a daily even on crapy roads and damping really works when u notch it up on a track day. Would recommend highly or BC are gd too
