Looks like people have gone for things that produce happiness rather than the happiness itself

and 2 people played the cute baby card

Not sure what the issue is, in many photo comps part of the judging is based on the story behind the image, not just the technical skill of the image itself. Just because you can't see what the image represents doesn't mean that the artist ran out of imagination or that the shot is any less valid than the obvious approach of using a person smiling.

Cake makes me happy, then Im sad cause Im so fat, so I eat more cake to cheer myself up
