I'll pay up once I get paid. As long as nothing huge goes wrong between now and then I'll be there

Sorry guys but i have some bad news about the drift day.

As everyone is aware, we did not make the numbers.

And although some people have paid up late, we are still not at the numbers.

Jeek relies on not just the people paying to drive, to make the day go ahead, but also income from spectators too.

And since the only people that are going to watch 15 sxoc cars go round a track are sxoc members, there would be no income from spectators.

So the day would need to run at a loss for Jeek, and this is something he cannot afford to do.

I misunderstood this point, and thought it was only drivers money that was needed, and so was suggesting either everyone chipped in a bit more, or the club would cover the shortfall, but obviously this does not help with the spectator problem.
The monies involved in covering this are substantial, and not something coverable in my opinion.

So Jeek will now be running this as an open day, not as an sxoc day, so anyone can join in.

This means all of the benefits listed to SXOC members previously on this thread are no longer valid.

Anyone who has paid already, will be able to attend this day at the lesser price that they have paid (Normally its £50 for driftland days).
Please let me know and ill arrange to have your money forwarded to Jeek.
Anyone who wishes to be refunded, can of course have that.

So if you still want to drift, you can still do so, and from 11-4:30 (so an hour and a half more than we were going to).

If you want to be refunded, then please pm me or post here and ill ask one of the committee to do it.

Anyone who didnt pay up within the alotted time, but still wants to complain about thigs being arranged etc... im fairly sure you know what you can do with yourself

Sorry it had to go like this guys i feel bad but i had to make a business decision. I dont think i explained the situation properly to kev which created the confusion. Me and kev have been chatting for the last 5 hours trying to work out a compromise that suited both sides but we didnt get there. We do however have a plan for the future to have a truly private sxoc weekend drift day.

I hope you all attend the day regardless, once again sorry guys.

Jeezo, jeeks changed... If he was cool he would let us all on for free and buy us all lunch... Fame has went to his head...

In all seriousness, sorry its not gonna be a private sxoc day, but I'll still be there. Cheers again Kev.

It's a shame but least we can still go even if it's not a private day, count me in! Pass on what you need to, to jeek. Thanks Kev.

Sad to hear this but understandable, I'll still be attending, please forward my money onto Jeek.

Thanks for all your efforts Kev, I'm sure it's not easy and pretty thankless.

I look forward to future private SXOC days at driftland and possibly crail, it would be a real shame not to have anymore crail days IMO.

I can't go to this one and I'm gutted. I hope there will be others later in the year.

Massive thanks to Kev for putting in all the time to arrange this after Crail fell through, and Jeek for his time on it.

I was pulling out all the stops to make this day. mostly just to keep sxoc drift days alive. Not going to bother now. Can do a driftland practice day anytime.

I thought we'd already been refunded or I'd have said sooner.

Thanks for all the efforts kev, it's really sad to see this happen to the Sxoc drift days

Kev, For people going to this Non-SXOC day do we have to take our membership cards so we can sign in when we get there.
I guess all the funds also been sorted out to Jeek and what not
