    S 1 3 | p r o j e c t

Started mid 2014 (copied from my build thread elsewhere as this is a better place for it.)

    ----

Well after having my 4th car in 7 months of moving into my new house I thought it's time to settle with something nice that I could actually spend some time and effort on.

Here it is, a 92 uk s13, quite clean and on 63,000 miles. It has quite a few trick bits already on it ie BC shocks, DW and Japspeed rose joints front and back, stage 1 H-dev...

After swapping with my old e46 330i (which loved a skid)

    S13 pic4 by E11evens., on Flickr

With not knowing that it was boosting and being a cheap twat I went over my mates to lend a boost gauge, which we found it was boosting less than it was supposed to be for the stage 1 (as if it does anything anyways)

    S13 pic8 by E11evens., on Flickr

    Ghetto gauge!

    S13 pic5 by E11evens., on Flickr

Then I had the slut in the air to change a few bits including that fecking straight pipe!!

    S13 pic6 by E11evens., on Flickr

This exhaust is a temp until i get my new baby on. Been fancying a Vortex one which I saw on my mates Evo stage rally car... May steal the kent off him ha

I then had a **** about with the adjustments on the top mount (being a dodgy one i am) and didnt want to roll the fenders for the min. Oh and that piss-poor effort of a garage is now on its way down for a full width badboy

After a week and a half of having her and all that shit that went on I thought what better way to introduce myself to driving this car than a skid day at Llandow. Parked up with my buddy Martin.

After an sweet session with all the boys I found myself with a bent inner tie rod, which is standard if your bouncing the curbes aiming for that "Japan air". And with all the styled pretty boys around the work got done even quicker :euge:

Hmmm project has gone to the welder at the mo. Finding filler in the sills and many other spots of ginger crust is never fun.

Nevermind, gives me chance to learn how to weld hey...

    To do list

    1. Shape some sheet for sills and cut and weld (with someone guiding me as im a spaz)
    2. Fix the Japspeed balljoint on the lower front control arm as the rose joint seems to be screwed
    3. New inner tie rod as I bent the last one at Llandow
    4. Roll the front arches and change from 235 to 215
    5. Paint wheels black
6+. I can then do the fun things like get the seat in and drive... And maybe stage 2 in the winter

The garage is at starting progress this week. From fanny/woman cave to full width man cave

Right, it's been a while and the car is still in the garage after a few months. Hitting it slowly and as its my first time repairing this sort of thing it's a massive learning curve

Finding shit repairs from others is never good

Lots of cutting and welding taking place and hopefully saving a future classic

Some of the other machines my mate is working on.

Brave move on an Evo 9 we had in, just for them lows and wide wheels

An update on my new garage:

And she's up and looking rather cool

Had an early Christmas present from a good mate at Kinzuru. The great perks of being in partnership with some cool guys

Spending way too much on this thing now, hope it's worth it.

New tubular manifold bought, front mount intercooler, Bride passenger seat and lots of other Shizzle.

Found some more rust, and the chassis rails will be getting attention and mods too so I can lower it to the floor and jack it easily

Some inspiration for what I'd like to achieve (hardcore look)

    Love the fabrication work here

Had a big crash recently on the bike too, which involved a mountain bike, a jump and me getting knocked out (with footage).

Also blew out my forks More expense!

On the plus side I now have glow in the dark tees for 2015

    And the other usuals

Overall a pretty hectic few months but looking forward to getting the car out and making some noise

After all that I bought a 6 point cage from my buddy Luke, intercooler pipe kit and wondering which exterior style route to go... Maybe pig-nose front, jun fenders, skirts with diffuser and canards.

No updates on the work done as of yet just waiting on my mate to finish up on the welding done and then tackle the sills and chassis rails.

Oooo and I had new rims before Christmas, which I had a sweet-ass price from my partners in crime Kinzuru.

And made a Christmas card from a pic of them I took, a bit of fun

Had another month I'll be in the red...

Cheers Luke for hooking me up, let's hope it gets delivered in one piece

On the car front; it is looking a lot better since the welding, but still a bit to do before the sills go on, Christian has done an epic job in his spare time!

A pic so show my new sill being sized up. If anyone can guess what sills they are I'll be shocked

The repairs and welding is coming along now. It's been a really timely journey this had considering its my only car. Lending from friends can only go so far...

We have made a little bracket for the rear inner arch.

Now for the sills to finish then chassis rails then the underseal fun starts

Thanks buddy, it's Der been a challenge!

I did this write up on DW but since these are getting so rare for a good un I've turned to the dark side and will be gripping it, so this place is the best place for a right up. Thanks again and have some great plans for it this year
