Still think a v10 Phaeton with a remap (and dpf removed) would be hilarious.
Think of a couch, no... a sitting room (with book shelf and rugs) going from zero to warp in less time than it takes to sneeze - with a bonus cloud behind.

Only glanced over the last few pages since the requirements changed so sorry if i have missed something but I'm surprised no-one has mention an E46 M3?
Somebody said Mazda 6 MPS, what about Mazda 3 MPS, they drop into budget sometimes. Also 123d / 130i are firmly in budget.
For a random suggestion, it ticks all the boxes with the possible exception of it being reliable, but you cant have EVERYTHING...

He did say something about not wanting to spend every weekend laying underneath it fixing things.
So no Alfa's
Or fiat's or Nissan or ford's or bmw.....so the only option left.
Robin reliant.
Think I'd rather have the 335i than the 135i - for some reason the proportions just don't work on the 1 series
If you can stretch to 11,500 you can have my jag AND the Aprilia. 4 seats in the jag, fun and reliability from the priller
I'd love both....... But
So my list is a good clean standard ish Evo8 FQ300, a 968, a Mk1 RS, 6 MPS, 335i, 650i, S15, R34 GTT
I do like cars with acronym or numerical denominations then
Now how the hell do I test drive them.....
I was thinking SVA down in Dover for the Evo S15 and 34
I like the thrill of the chase of buying a new car but f me I forgot how my aggy it is
Out of the beemers the 335i would get my vote, been out in a friends remapped one (bout 2 years ago mind) and with 4 up the thing still shifted its ass incredibly quickly.had a nice exhaust note and just endless torque and powerband.
The 6 series I wouldn't bother with, most reviews seem that owners are disappointed with them, yes they have power, but most people agree their too big and lardy to be anymore more than a motorway cruiser, yet they don't have the same refinement or qualities as a newer merc, which puts them in a bit of a middle class.
The 630 Sport is the best 6 series to have handling wise.

Compared to some of the other cars on the list think that is a fine looking coupe
