    Recommend me a plumbers vehicle

I'm moving in to plumbing in Jan so need either a van, or possibly even an estate, which I'll black or even white out the rear windows for theft reasons. My mate has an astra van but he thinks it's a bit small. I think it's just about the right size, or maybe a bigger estate car, but not a huge van.
Price limit is £1500 guys, fire away

A big estate as the tax and insurance are higher on vans

Ye I'm thinking the same about 1500 on a van being shit. My mates astra van,1200, and it's ****ed.
Bedford rascal never lol. Tiny disgusting pos.
Mondeo, I just don't think I can get another Ford after my last one setting itself on fire on my drive....
    V70 maybe.
Or should I stick with the tried and tested jap route of estates.
Someone also suggested a Toyota surf? I haven't checked prices I yet tho. The avensis estate has big dimensions tho

you need to be able to fit a length of copper pipe inside it, unless you are going to be a poly pipe plumber.

I'll have a 54 vivaro for sale end of Jan dude, just turned 100k cambelt done at 90, recon gearbox and turbo done at 76, I'd be looking around the £1600 mark, no problems with it except I bloody dented the passenger side door and rear quarter so it dis heartened me so I want a new one now lol. Will leave one of the rhyno tubes on top for you aswell. It's twin side loading aswell.

    Or even easier....
Cut the pipe if it won't fit then join it back together if needed in a big length...

    Sort vivaro is too big.
I'm gonna look on Google at sizes, but primera and Mazda 6 estates look big, and cheap. As long as its reliable I'll happy. Condition doesn't really matter as in dents scratches etc, as it won't look like much inside once back seats ripped out and binned

I'm an electrician and I personally think the vivaro too small, when you've got ladders drills tool boxes materials etc it soon takes up space, we had a Berlingo aswell not so long ago and we found that too small. Just my opinion and experience.

Where are you going to be working??
If you'll be in town and city centres then consider the size before you buy as well.

Was going to say, it depends on use.

If you are going to be doing domestic, local jobs with lots of short trips and parking then you have a different requirement to if you are going to take sub-contracted work in London and need something to bomb up and down the mootrway twice a week.

Also, if you get an estate and signwrite it, someone will break the blackedout windows to find out what's in it anyway. If you are going to leave it loaded up, a van with good security and secure parking should be high on your list of priorities.

I would also add a van looks more professional but a £1500 one probably wouldnt
