Apparently the later boxes share bits with 300ZX and Rb26 internally. (30 Spline)
The 32 GtST box is similar to the sr20 box. (24 Spline output )

So as soon as the wrecker has a box ill exchange it.

Was it an RB20 both you had then? Cause last I checked no R32s came with RB25s from the factory..?

    2 temper tantrums later

Must be an Rb20 box which would make more sense.

Resurrection of the project. No action since about 2016.
Car ended up in storage due to Weddings and 2 Kids a Cage fight or two and some hectic work/work/life balance.

This year I moved house and pulled the car out of storage moving it close by. Finally got some time on the tools and did some work on it.

The plan is to just get it running and avoid "While its out" or side tracks.
Just pick away slowly and get it running.

    Big Box:
The big ticket item was the RB "big box" went in (no photos) so the engine and box is all in properly.
I had made the mistake of fitting a 20det box making the prop not fit. This nearly killed me lifting it in solo.

Breaking the while its out rule
    -Poly bushes on Diff
    -Light flywheel
    -New crank rear main seal
-Bonus the prop was already lightweight
    -Also the Nismo 1.5/2way diff
    -New Shiftier bush

Psychologically a huge win for me as the box swap solo was a thing of nightmares but its in.

The Car pulled out of Storage.

Timing belt Re-done as I dont trust myself
    I knew less in 2016.

New crank pulley and Radiator in
Crank pulley is a part of Ross trigger kit but that is another day.

The Spal fans on the radiator a monsters I can see that being too much for the alternator with the walbro but again later. It wont stop it running.

Diff: Got a Nismo 1.5 way fitted as I cant have it frying one tyre and getting me into trouble.

Great to see you making progress.

Is your diff a GT or a GT Pro? When did you buy that diff and did you buy it new?

I am concerned about mine, I recently ordered a brand new Nismo GT Pro and it's here, but it didn't come with Nismo stubs, it came with 2 of Nissan 38220-0V161. And I'm not sure that's right given I thought the actual shafts were unequal length.

I bought it in may I should be able to look up the part number and I'm honestly not sure in the pro bit. I just wanted 1.5 way

You may have a skyline one

    Details

    Part number is 38420-RSS15-D5
    Nismo GT Pro 1.5-Way LSD Diff Centre - Nissan S13/S14 Silvia (A/T SR20DET) & S15 Silvia (SR20DET) & R33 GTS Skyline (~1/96 A/T RB25DE)

That's going to be such a sleeper when it's finished even on stock boost...

I've probably said it before but worth saying again anyway: those wheels are perfect on that shape S14.

Still can't wait to see & hear it running!!

No major progress as i'm jammed up with new job and life in general.

Booking Fabricator to button up exhaust , cat , cooler pipework and new core. So that should get me a full working hot and cold side.
Expect to have that done by mid/late march.

Bought wiring bits and tools to make up looms for sensors / bits
    -Fuel pressure
    -Oil pressure
    -Flex fuel sensor
    -Knock sensors
    -Boost control
    -Wide-band
    -Fans

    So a bit to do.

Some coolant lines need sorting and that should get me to start-up.

    Small update:

Still faffing with the radiator. Got shoulder washes but still have a current path through the rad to ground.
Got rubber panel edging and that should finally sort out the Radiator.

Have the components i need to wire up the fans now and will move on to that.

Turbo oil Drain is off getting welded. So spent some time doing some wiring.
Cat also arrived so Fabricator is here in one month to do cooler pipework and exhaust.

Radiator is finally fully in and no stray paths to ground.

FANS: - Electrics and my first go at doing electrics well

Ok started on the Fan wiring.

The spal fans are 6amps - 7amps a piece and when I ordered kit i sized everything for 22amps as I was wiring them.
Then went with recommendation on wiring them independent of each other so everything is way over sized but look it wont melt...

Ill sleeve the cable and mount it properly next but loving the DTP connectors.
