    Acceptable knock readings?

What can I expect as an "acceptable" knock level reading? And what level should I be concerned there's an issue?

The cars at 370bhp with Gt2871r, tomei cams and all supporting mods etc etc. And I get knock reading off of the apexi power Fc.

    Cheers In advance .

I'm not 100 percent on this but I'm sure its the power fc commander that always gives you a higher reading and a heart attact followed by a stroke.

I'm sure someone will know better than me tho

My phormula knock sensor has adjustable sensibility iirc so I wouldn't go by that too much. Mine definitely alarms at more than 45

    Thanks for all the replies.

Reason I ask is last night I went out for some fuel, went the "long" way so I could have abit of a nice run. Car seemed to be running well and didn't notice any changes. When I got home I checked the peak readings on the hand commander and knock was a peak of 74. It's the highest I've seen since ive owned the car!

Like I say it didn't seem to run any different? Seemed to be running spot on tbh. I didn't have time to check any graphs on hand commander to see when the knock was peaking. It's only been this high once though?

    Anything to worry about?

    Cheers again .

    I used to have a ks3 on my s14.

Depends where the sensor is really but i didnt want it going past 40-45... which is where i had the alarm at. It seems a little more stable when i moved the sensor to the stock knock sensor location.

I couldn't tell you where the sensor is located on mine as I didn't install it and I've not investigated it yet. Ill keep my eye on the peak readings and if it keeps on coming back high I'll have to investigate further!
