    S15 turbo maybe ?

    Ok quick spec. S14a
    Horsham d 1a chip
    Blitz Fmic
    Blitz filter
    Boost controller 15psi
    3 inch nur spec turbo back decat system
    AND. Supposedly a s15 turbo

    If I drive for a while then park up come back and start it half hour or hour ish later. Leave it to idle for few mins it starts smoking a fair bit. After 5 seconds of driving it clears.
    I assume its turbo seals. Now 1. How can I tell wat turbo it is
    2. Where can I get rebuild kit from or is it just worth sending it away ? I'm in reading cheers

    An S15 turbo will have 6 bolts holding on the rear housing, whereas a standard one only had 4 bolts.

    I Would say valve stem seals. If it were turbo seals shouldn't it smoke more when pushed?

    Not entirely. Only some S15s came with roller bearing turbos (6 bolts), the majority came with plain bearing turbos (4 bolts).

    I took my s15 turbo to a rebuilder and they told me they couldn't rebuild the ball bearing t28r's they can only supply new cores for them! But that was only 1 shop!
