ARCAN XL30R Professional Low Profile 3.0 Tons Trolley Jack is what you want. Costco hooked me up for like £80. Best £80 I ever spent. Be warned though, if you are weak or frail or an idiot you won't like the Arcan as it's heavy.

I had that jack. Let's just say that the skin is still on my rice puddin'

Went back to the jack it replaced within 6 months when the one above demonstrated an inability to reliably jack one corner of my S13 without failing and letting the car drop dramatically.

It is light but it is also weedy and hard to manoeuvre due to the roller at the front.

I have the Arcan from Costco as well and it was £80 when i got it too, last time i was in there though they were over £100 (£110ish IIRC).

Good jacks though and I use it on a 2.5 ton Discovery

Also picked up an arcan from the bay cheap, 80 odd quid brand new. Can't fault it! Heavy tho!

The axle stands are fine - same (well, mine are Clarke branded, but they look identical) as I've had for over 10 years. I have the same issue with the shape of the cups, but they go on some subframes and chassis rails nicely. Bit of wood solves the rest.

I had what I suspect was the same jack (but rebranded Clarke) for 10 years as well - it's been a trooper. Just had to drive the car onto wood first.
Recently replaced it with one of these:
    https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/p...ft-low-profile
Which has held up nicely so far Good reach, sturdily build, nice big pad, nice and low. *almost* gets under the front lip of my car without driving onto a plank
I got it for under a ton on one of MM's frequent 'VAT free' days. Arcans were all about £130 when I was looking.

I had one of the clarke aluminium low entry jacks and found it okay but quite unsteady and struggled lifting the car sometimes without groaning, it also struggled to roll on anything other than a perfectly smooth surface
    https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/p...inium-racing-j

Now i have this and the difference is monumental, it is so stable and rolls perfectly so makes it so much easier to jack the car up, it also has a larger low section so can go further under the car before making contact

And I use two sets of axle stands these:
    https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/p...on-axle-stands

which are great but dont go that high

and these which go much higher
