I thought that with mine at one stage. Everything I done seemed to be counter productive, just got to battle it out and ride the wave dude

its been a very busy day today, I swapped over my bad turbo for a good one and connected it all up and gave it a quick test run, it doesn't smoke anywhere near as much as it used to thank god.
I just need to set the ignition timing now and I don't have a clue how to do it and I don't have a timing gun anyway. is there anyone in the rugby/kilsby area who will be willing to lend a hand? all I have to offer is tea/coffee and biscuits of there choosing hahaa. then the car can go for its mot in a few weeks time and then its another s13 saved from the scrappy

The car has just past its mot test. Failed the first time on little things like bulbs, no front plate and lack of braking on the back. So 3 new bulbs a license plate and rear brake adjustments and she was all good. The misfire was a faulty coilpack luckily I had one spare

Looking good mate and as jonny said glad to see another saved from the scrapheap! You can enjoy it now! Whats your next plans?

The back end is really bouncy when going over bumps and that so I'm guessing the coilovers are shot which is a shame because they are hsd mono pro's and I now don't have the funds to replace them so that's the next thing on my list. Then some rims to fill the gap

Do they not have damper adjustment? Or is the pre-load adjustable don't know about hsd's myself!

Guest
They have damper adjustment on them but I don't know which way to turn it hahaa. I will find some instructions on my lunch break today

Turn them fully anticlockwise.
This will be fully soft.
Count the clicks to the opposite end then back again.
Set to half way (8 clicks in for a 16-clicker) between the two then try for the day.
Then back off (anti-clock) by 2 clicks per day if they feel too hard or increase (clockwise) by 2 clicks per day if they feel too boingy.
Then do fronts then fine tune the rears.

Mr wilkinson you are a guru hahaa. I turned them clockwise to stiffen them on my break. I only got 3 clicks and it wouldn't turn anymore :/
