    s14a revs up when turning the steering wheel??+

    as the tittle. everytime i turn my steering wheel the revs go up slightly. anyone can shine some light??

    I'm going to make a guess here - power steering pump is engine driven, turning the wheel works the pump which puts a little extra load on the engine so the idle control valve compensates for this by increasing the revs slightly.

    I agree with that, mine does it too

    Spot on Chris.

    There's a sensor in the PAS circuit that makes the IACV up the idle when the wheel is turned.

    Same (ish) if u try to close an already closed leccy window, or at least my idle fluctuates very slightly...
