What have you got then ? A non-braided line that goes from the master cylinder to the slave ?

Maybe the s12 master cylinder isn't up to the job ? Just a guess...

If you are using an S13 master cylinder, have you checked the adjuster on the rod that goes from the pedal to the piston on the master cylinder ?

(The video is of your oily turbo )

Out of the master cylinder I have a hardline that connects to a braided line which then connects to the slave.

yeah just threw the oily turbo vid n there for fun!

...and the hard line goes straight from the master cylinder to the braided hose with no curly pipework that goes via a metal block that is the dampner ?

    nope, no box.

On a side note is it best to take the whole manifold off to get to the turbo lines?, as theres no way I can get to the oil in line as is.

Awesome project dude. SR's its definitely better to take mani and turbo together. I would say its the same for CA's!!

    Well.....Abit of progress, maybe.
Got the clutch working, just needed to bleed the master cylinder and was all fine.
Took it for a spin round my unit and got told off by security "THIS IS NOT A RACE TRACK!" lol. It boosts!.

I don't think the water temp sensor works well, it takes ages to move. Then it started leaking from this pipe, like there was a lot of pressure.

so put a better clip on it and fired it up again, then it leaked from the bigger pipe under the manifold that connects to the water temp sender. It literally sprayed out for the clip.

What are the chances that this is a air blockage rather than a HG failure! ?

What would you do next? lol

Hmm, does it overheat while the pressure builds up? - Could try pulling out the thermostat. If its HG you would probably be billowing white smoke wouldn't you?

Right....Done a fair bit on this.
After my panic attack! I replaced the hose and it all seems fine, Ive wired up some primera fans to a Honda thermo switch that's in my bottom hose, also has an overide switch if I need it, it works well.
Put in three Autometer gauges, water, oil temp and oil press.
Fixed the gear knob with an exhaust stud!

    LOL

    Sorted the battery relocate out.

Then on to fixing the oil leak on the turbo. Tried to take the oil feed hose off but the hose nut had jammed meaning you couldn't undo it without it twisting so ended up just cutting it off! Lucky I had a spare!

Then went mad with the impact gun and took out the whole front suspension, was pretty pleased with that.

Also made myself a working rev counter.

Will wrap it all up in some plastic tube to keep it all safe.

Had to modify the tension brackets to make fit.

Cleaned up the inner arches, will redo all this properly come winter, just a quick spruce up for whatevers left of the summer.

Then on to some lovely goodness!

Cant wait to get some wheels for it and see how it sits.

Great progress mate. Watching this with fascination is the part from japspeed a track rod end ? Is it the thread that is wrong ?

Yeah the the thread is wrong, standard arm is m12 this is probably m14! I could use s14 inners but I think they are longer and I need shorter than standard. That's why I can't use a standard Oem outer end. The internetz said to use a 95 escort end which I went and got but it must be an American escort as that didn't fit either. Might have to get the japspeed inner arms but worried they might be too long as well. Shame as I wanted to roll it out this weekend and fit the wheels etc.

A few more hours spent on this, was a bit worried the wheels wouldnt fit round the brakes but they do!

    LOL at the fitment

    LOL.

So went and got the tyres fitted, could only get 2 on, 2 just wouldnt go on. tried a can of hairspray but didnt work, any tips?

here you can see this arch, it was covered in like an inch of filler! this is after I inverstgated it and covered it wth a bit of primer

So took all the filler off and rolled the arch, a lot!

Here you can see the crease that was under the filler

The other side needs attention as its a little rusty.

Fronts will get some arch love too, not enough time today.

    I need to tidy up!

Cant wait to get it off the axle stands and see how it sits.

Tien track rods have a different thread to OEM. Is it possible you have tien rods so aftermarket trackrod end don't fit ? Re the tyres, you're going for too much stretch I think.

Thanks Jonny, well the rod ends I got don't fit the standard arms, so now I have big arms!! will see if it all fits tomo, as far as the tyres are concerned yes it is too much but im going for a too much look! will probably have to extend my arches

Haha yeah it's bonkers really! Yeah these are grid classics or grid v's. They are fine with the z32 brakes, only thing is you will need a 20mm spacer so it mangles the fitment really so you get mad poke, I might have to swap to an 8" up front
I had to get japspeed steering arms and ends, kinda cool though as they correct the steering angle. Also the sway bar/anti roll bar brackets don't fit the s14 tension rod brackets., so need to get some of them.

Straightened out the rear bumper bracket.

    before.

    Tried to go lower!

this will have t do till I can mill a few mm off the spacer.

Painted the bumper as the old one did my head in as it was cut.

    belt don't fit!!

    thought it was correct though.

Oh and I think my turbo is dead, recently took it off and tightened all the oil and water lines as t smoked before, put t back on and still smokes really bad, like physically smokes from the turbo weird eh? I take it is dead, shame as there is no play in the shaft.

Oh and I cant make 9s work in the front with the z32 brakes

Smoke out the exhaust will be turbo seals gone. Z32 calipers will go under OEM s13 15x6jj rims with a small spacer. What are you trying to use ?
