Ok turrets fully welded into tear tubs
And tacked into place against the new chassis rails
Offered up the new bubble arch to see how it sits
So pleased to see decent progress

Finally an update we had a couple of weeks off followed by a couple more disastrous weeks where we couldn't get the bloody doors off ,anyway we had some new tools and the doors are off
Once the doors were out the way we got the sill cut out
Managed to get Kev in the shot as we found some patches on the sills there was no point not replacing
We've been trying to decide what to do about a fuel tank with a little modding the s14 one is near on perfect

Feck me - tubular spaceframe chassis would've been easier at this stage surely??!

Thanks the feedback we get is really encouraging although we know the car will upset the purists but this is the Sxoc after all

Nice idea with the S14 tank, if you plan on switching to braided fuel lines this might be useful:

That looks like a good shout will keep an eye out for top

Imo I wouldn't be too worried about any purist's, I mean I am Mr old school ford and I wished I'd had the sense to use the jap stuff like this
instead of plowing thousands into a X-flow or Pinto and getting 130 odd from a x-flow or 150 odd from a boat anchor pinto
and then binning off the steel girder live axle for a proper multi-link like this, all I can see is a nice handling and very fast car
price of these mk1's and mk2's is getting crazy and so out of my reach/budget, I will have stick with my rusty old datsuns for now
and watch progress on this beast, and very doing it right I say
Car is now back to a rolling shell but on all Nissan running gear
Test fit engine again on Nissan subframe
And just in time the newest edition to the garage
Slowly getting there but still super excited

Ok update time again we bought a rally gearbox tunnel but after making a new bulkhead it never fitted very well and as Kev said it's square!!!
So we set about making our our with curves to match the outer of the car
Worked out well and got to admit Kev was right looks far better
Got to get a pic in with Kev
Just to trim a little and weld up really satisfying seeing bit chunks of metal going back in even more so that most panels we are making ourselves
Great productive day with Kev and Kieran

Feck me lads - the whole car is basically custom at this stage!! Are there any original Ford structure left at all other than the exterior panels & badges??
Also, it's looking fan-bloody-tastic! Keep up the good work!

Ok so lots has happened but no many pics so I'll post up what I have got
Bubble arches welded on
Infill panel to tie inner tubs
The square cutout is to house speaker
Had to flare rear arches to fit wheels
So a 350z wheel fits with just over an inch clearance on the inside
Coming to the end of the metal work just a bit to go up and over petrol tank and we're golden
