Had a couple of patches but sound enough, we have a rotating spit now so that will help with welding and painting

Right update time now it doesn't look much but the engine sit right where it needs to be and the engine mounts are welded to the subframe things should speed up now
Kev doing his thing

All three of us on the car got plenty done even with me dropping the engine on kevs finger while he was locating mounts
Mounts fitted
Engine on mounts
And all out again
We have to trim the lip on the bulkhead to get the engine back as far as we could and weld up
Took more of the front away
Just need to make some brackets for the new intercooler
Anyway many thanks to Kev and Kieran as always

Amazing work you've done on this lads! Think it'll be done for the Weekender so??
On a side note, looking at the pics where you're carving out parts of that minty-mint shell makes me wince... but I know it's for the greater good.

Spent a day building up a spit to rotate car it was a good kit but needed a fair bit of welding a day well spent by Kev
This will make the cutting and welding or the rear link kit easier

Well last weekend was a disaster I did this
Then about an hour later this
So blood sweat and tears

This weekend was much more successful
Checked new 2.4 rack
Cut arches to fit rear turrets
Not welded in yet
Also we bolted front on to spit
So it's coming along as always couldn't be done without help from Kev and Kieran

Ace work! You got lucky that the angle grinder didn't do any proper damage, could have been really ugly! Nice job on the spit too, where did you get the kit from? Cheers
Cheers yeah got off lightly Kieran got spit not sure where from but went together easy enough, cars been slow progress but will be worth it

It will be a beast when it's done! Good work lads
The comments are encouraging at this stage I sometimes wonder why I didn't buy a quick car just to jump in and go

We all know building it is half the fun even if we do moan about it
Absolutely love this. Alot of commitment from you's guys!
The level of commitment is greatly appreciated not many would put this effort into someone else's car

Ok so first of all me and Kieran had commitments so thought we were all getting a weekend off but Kev decided otherwise and went at the car like a bat out of hell!!! Don't have any explanation just pics
That's friends for you

Some pictures of the not so minty mint shell
How much filler!!!!
So don't feel as bad cutting this up for the conversion at least when it rolls out it will be mint plus Kev wants to stitch weld engine bay and along chassis rails
Getting there but slow progress
