Aeros start at £2.5K for a petrol with non-stellar miles.

EDIT: I stand corrected. There are a few about from £1400. There are only 2 on autotrader for less than £2500 with less than 120K on the clock. (Dan's £750 gumtree example is a poor high-miler that will need work so I wouldn't include that).

£2500-£5000 will buy you a nice one with less than 100K on the clock.

    Flame suit on.

Volvo. because I have one and its built like a tractor. feels like it will last forever!

Paid £700 for a 2001 with 80k on. I would look for a diesal as its thirsty petrol guzzling

Another one for this! I was really disappointed with the leg room in my A4, but A6 or Passats give lots of bang for bucks, parts are easy to find and easy as anything to work on!!

Think the 2.2 aero will be a bit thirsty and overkill around our town lol.

Until today we had both Volvo V70 and Saab 9-5 in our fleet (Volvo is being part-ex'd against a Beetle convertible ) Volvos have better corrosion protection and more room but more electrical problems it seems. My Saab has been tweeked to 220bhp and is quite silly

It is a bit like driving a wierdly well put together Vectra, only with a nice engine! The Volvo has a much better seating position but a very narrow footwell, I can't use the left foot-rest unless I am wearing really slim shoes.

Ignore mark. He's been indoctrinated at ford to hate vauxhalls

I'll leave a couple of these here

I have a 2006 9-3 1.9tid vector sport estate and can honestly say it does not drive or feel like a vauxhall (edit, I know these are ads for 9-5s, but you get a lot of car for the money, especially with the second ad)

Had to put my sensible head on. Dealer offered me what I wanted part ex value and ended up with a 1.8 zafira. Not my cup of tea but with a dog that molts 24-7 and a new born wasnt much point in a posher car.
