Clutch thickness
I just bought a second hand clutch (which im now regretting) and im just trying to figure out how much life it has left and if its worth putting on the car, its a paddle clutch and it is about 7.5mm thick, the rivets are about 6mm thick so has about 0.75mm of material each side.
Does anyone know generally how much material paddle clutches have new and if mine is prity much finished or if its got a fare bit of life in it?
Thanks josh

They don't have a lot from new bud, my brand new stage 4 xtd clutch has barely any material on it at all

Ok so its probably got a bit of life in it then, I guess they must wear much slower then normal friction plates

Hey dude I see you received the clutch! New ones don't have much more material as it is ceramic not like organic clutches! If your not fully happy with the clutch, return it back to me and when I receive it I will refund your money! Can't be fairer than that

I've bought a brand new Exedy paddle clutch. They literally come with hardly any material on. Just like your photo.

I can see the picture of it edge on but not the second one (probably due to being at work). To judge its condition, it really needs a view of the mating surface but looking at the one I can see, it looks ok.
The fact that Gordon sold it to you also suggests that its fine. He's a good lad
