Unhappy clutch pedal on the floor

just as I was pulling onto the drive, I suddenly lost all clutch control. Clutch pedal on the floor and if I manually lift it, it stays down next time it's pressed. No engagement with the clutch.
What will it take to fix it? Help please.

Pumping the clutch manually emptied the clutch fluid pot! Guess where it came out from?

Make sure you get a good quality one. I bought a cheap one a year ago and it's gone already and I haven't driven the car much

Also, check why it went pop.

Very often it is because the lever arm has moved due to failure of the lever arm pivot. Read the post 5 onwards of this thread...

What type do you recommend? My mechanic is ringing round his suppliers atm and could use some direction, please.

DW used to do an upgraded slave cylinder. Not sure if they still do. It was expensive (about £55) but its been very good with my upgraded clutch.

Europarts do a Pagid one for £14.10

    Part no. 137700018

There is a discount code for SXOC members but not sure if it applies for items of such cheapiness

Has your mechanic checked that the lever arm is still moving properly on the pivot ?

Yes, the lever arm is still moving properly. Car now fixed, thank heaven. I don't think I can do 2 bus days.
The mechanic found an oil leak (and fixed it) whilst he was changing the slave, too.
