Was it gushing or dripping lol!!

Good stuff that. Just make sure the pipe is completely dry and clean. Then wrap it round super stretched and tight. Be careful though as it sticks itself to itself as it overlaps. So if you don't stretch it enough for example, there is no going back lol!

Anyway once happy heat it up and it shrinks. Good stuff it is! Designed for stuff like boost hoses so will have no problem with water.

The only thing it was unsuccessful on with me was a punctured can of wd40. Didn't stick for obvious reasons lol!

Hahaha! Just a strong stream of dribble!

Yeah I'm going down to investigate shortly. I'm praying it's just a case of the pipe not on properly or something sinister.. Otherwise I'll need to buy that tape!!

Christmas is coming... Need to decide on car parts for Christmas!

Done a few odd jobs on the car Friday...

Re-wired my boost gauge and non working oil pressure gauge in.

I also wired my new water temp gauge in. I just need to install the sender in my radiator hose now and wire the signal in that's a job for another day!

Picture doesn't show the glow but it's blue.

I also hoovered it for the first time over a year as it had everything and anything inside. Still needs a good dust and all the windows cleaning! And new window wipers as these just squeak like mad!

Took a few snaps after I'd been shopping!

Next jobs to hard wire the fuel pump.
Buy and fit a apex sandwhich blank with a 52mm gauge hole.
    Fit my temp sensor
    Dewiper boot
    Move washer bottle to boot

That'll keep me going for awhile.

So yesterday I had a road trip to Bedford. To meet Piman2k at what can only be described as a military base with the amount of security lol!

Picked up a genuine kouki rear bumper
    FRP Spats
    and some side skirts.

Managed to get the side skirts bonded and taped overnight in place and the rear bumper. Just waiting on my new number plate. Even managed to rope the Mrs's in to clean whilst I removed the rear bumper! Keeper!

Need a small touch up still on this side, so happy it covers the majorityy of my re-made arch. Will get this area reaprayed along with my kit next year!

    Spacers & wings... Must resist.........

I know.. I need wings so bad. Can't afford it for a few months. Christmas, then a holiday over new year it's killing me.
Will end up with +25mm vented I think

Fog light.. I was thinking a under bumper eBay jobbie or wiring the drivers side brake light to stay on and go brighter when breaking? Not sure of legalities on that..

Need to drill each corner of side skirts and then I'll fit the spats which still are sat in the boot!

Got my new square numberplate today! So I can drive it again...

God.. The cars so dirty looking at those pictures again!

Just convert a reverse light. You only need 1. Stick a red bulb in and change the wire. 10 minute job.

    Kit looks good.

Wings before Front Bumper?! You lot are crazy.

In order of priority I'd be looking at:

    Front Bumper
    Wider wheels
Wings or Archwork (to accommodate said wheels)

Wings without the wheels to fill them will look rubbish.

Ryan's Works or Phil's Sterns plus a bit of archwork will cost the same as new wings, paint and spacers, but look 100x better.

    I really like the OEM front bumper. It seems to give presence. The only other bumper i like is this;

I'm tempted to spray my OEM front splitter white so you can see it more in the pictures.. as its VERY low but doesnt show well on a satin black splitter.

Can you show me what you mean picture wise? I'm at a point where im unsure where to go with the car bodywork wise. I seem to resent overfenders and massive spacers.. but i can't see the side skirts working without potentially wings and a bumper..

I have the wheels.. i just need spacers now..

haha, yeah! Roadtrip on Monday to collect. Potentially will need a spray. I need to clean/polish the car as i done the kit before fitting hence why the car looks filthy.

    Got my plate yesterday!

    Disclaimer: personal opinion ahead

The white vertex car you posted is on rolled metal arches and looks fine. The wheels fit nicely, even with the wide skirts. You'd get the same effect by spacing your existing wheels, or acquiring some wider wheels. By fitting fibreglass wings with wheels that don't fully fill them, the car won't look any wider. The opposite in fact; the increased space between your tyre and the arch will make it look higher/narrower by creating the illusion of a reduced track-width.

Regarding the front bumper comment, I made this image for Mark Moon's car, but it stands for any car with aftermarket bodywork paired with the stock front bumper.

The black lip creates the illusion of reverse rake/a raised front end, which just looks odd. Ideally the black touring lip would be an extension to the front, lowering the bumper below the skirt line, rather than meeting the skirt line.

As you say, painting the lip is a possible workaround, but IMO this doesn't look right (as seen below):

The Vertex bumper you posted is nice and would definitely work.

It goes without saying that all of the above is subjective; it's simply what I'd do if I was in your shoes
